Took Professor King this fall and I actually learnt a lot. There are 6 discussion boards (gives enough time to do it) and a final paper. (Nothing too heavy). You just gotta make sure to participate and get everything done on time.

About 6 discussion boards all laid out till the end of the semester. Each discussion board has a range of questions pertaining to the chapter of the book. For example, Discussion Board 1, was about chapters 1-4, with questions about each chapter. Also, requires you to comment on 2 student posts. The final test is 50 multiple choice, with 2 attempts

Amazing. Get the book because it a must and unlike other classes it's really used. The class final is 10 page paper, with weekly discussion on the chapter you read. The book is a good read so it not horrible. Awesome professor and give great feedback.

Professor King is not your ordinary John Jay professor. Your grade is based on the amount of effort you put. He takes plagiarism seriously and grades accordingly. Course is based on summarizing chapters (3 posts) and one final paper. Gives you sufficient time (approx. 4 weeks) to complete the paper.

If you want to graduate, take his class!! I really like this professor. At first he came off as a jerk, but he is extremely nice and helpful. All you have to do is 1 final paper and read and summarize! Take this class!!

I was looking for a simple and easy class to fill my semester schedule and this was perfect! The class work is very easy, every week we have to complete three discussion boards and respond to our classmates. And just one test which is the final. This class is easy to manage along with other classes that require more work.

Easy class to take online. Homework each week that he post for the entire semester so you can complete all it at once if you want to. One test which is the final exam with 2 chances to take it. Would take him again.

Took his class for the first time and I can honestly say that it was not hard at all. There are discussions do each week with a midterm and a final which are multiple choice. Nothing more nothing less was a pretty easy class and did not have to write any papers which was a major key.

This class was pretty easy as far as papers, readings and exams. The class discussions were more about current events than anything. At times it was a little boring. I got an A!!!

I dont know what people on here are talking about. This is one of the worst professors at john jay. Extremly arrogant. He will make you buy the book just for the fact that his face is on the back cover with all his accomplishments. extremly not understanding. tough grader. If your looking for help if have a problem don expect sympathy or help

Excellent Professor: It's a 400 level class, so don't go to sleep. He is a fair grader, offered extra credit for anyone who was struggling and is willing to discuss and examine differing opinions. Dry sense of humor, quite entertaining.
