The class structure is very unclear. Very time consuming. You have to put a lot of effort for such an easy "subject" to get an A, otherwise good luck with C or B. He gave only one extra credit opportunity for 1%. It is insane and ridiculous. 80% of the time, he seats back and listens to what students say and the class is led by student activities

Took Dr. Richard for Human Resource Management. The work load was a little intensive toward the beginning of the semester, then tapered off after the first month. Doc was very lenient in his grading, one of the most relaxed profs in JSOM. End of the semester he gave bonus points to the final grade for completing some online surveys. Recommend!!

Professor Richards is a pretty cool and easy professor. The only thing you need to do is show up for class and complete the assignments. He grades very leniently the research paper. The exams are multiple choice but if you just read the bold concepts you will do fine. offers a lot of extra credit

I think most of the complaints on here are about the structure. It will feel like the professor doesnt do much because he has so much class discussion and group presentations during the semester. Bottom line of the class show up, participate, write the papers, study the vocabulary (if necessary do the extra credit) and you will get an easy A.

Professor only counts two classes for participation and doesn't let you know that beforehand. Tests are confusing and tricky and way too much busy work for a graduate class. Students basically teach the entire class and the professor does nothing. You would be better off teaching yourself because that's what you end up doing.

very easy prof. attend class to get full participation pts. u don't really have to talk. summary writeups on readings, 5 quizzes, 2 presentations, 1 paper, 2 tests and option of take home final. read material to do well. lectures can be boring - very monotonous. but he provides outline for lectures and kind of gives dictation. would recommend.

Very boring! If you do the papers and actually spend a little time to proofread and spellcheck then you can make an A. He gives plenty of opportunities for extra credit and is pretty flexible as long as you give him advanced notice.

The course is easy but class format is awful - like a highschool class - he hardly lectures at all, tons of group projects, and most the semester is spent watching groups present cases/projects to the rest of the class. Lots of busy work and small assignments, he takes attendance as participation grade, etc. But he's very nice and exams are easy.

if you dont want to do a lot work(papers, assignments, 2 team project, chapter assesors..etc.) and learn not that much, i'd strongly recommend you not to take this class. In this class, prof just sit like a student and groups teach throughout semester.
