Judy is a tough person to be around. She is very set in her way of photography and any chance she gets to brag about her work she will. She disagrees with every student and definitely picks favorites. She says you aren't taking pictures for her but you definitely are, she will shut down everything you like. If you love yourself don't take her class.

She tries to act like she cares and has time to help you out but she doesn't respond to emails and you'd maybe get one office visit if you get the chance. She always says she's booked and doesn't have room so theirs not much feedback on your assignments. She will make you feel bad if your project isn't what she wants. Don't take her.

If you value yourself as an artist and plan on continuing being an artist, please do not take ANY courses with Judy. She will absolutely make you feel like giving up on art all together. She won't treat you like an equal, but rather like a child and goodness forbid you don't come in with an assignment. You and the entire class will hear about it!

wow... frustrating to say the least. it feels as if you don't listen to her comments for a project she'll grade you lower. also pushes too much about how your work MUST HAVE a cohesive line (like A to Z or 1 through 10)

ugh..judy natal. she's a very nice woman but when it comes to ideas, she has her own and does not want to hear what you have to say. our class had a heated debate one day during a crit because she wouldn't listen to any of us. however, if you know what you're doing in photoshop its easy to get an A. (like me. cuz i'm awesome.)

I think that this class has the potential to be something great, but Judy really prevents things from moving forward. If you work hard, you'll be fine, but Judy can be extremely unhelful and stubborn. If she gets an idea in her head, she doesn't try very hard to see it from any other viewpoint. She rarely practices what she preaches.

i thought this class was great! she knows a lot about the field, though she can be a bit closedminded if she already has an idea as to what you should do for a project. as long as you put forth effort and have enthusiasm, you'll do fine. this class is NOT for slackers.
