Dr. Leott is an amazing teacher. She always keeps it real and actually teaches you unlike other criminal justice professors. Her classes unlike the other CJ classes make you think and challenge you. Don't come into the class un prepared because you will fail. Put in the work and make sure you "YAC" and her assignments and oral exams will be easy.

This class is not your average lecture and listen class. The class is consists of 1 short paper, 1 presentation, and two oral exams that are difficult. You have dedicate a lot of time if you want to actually learn the material. She can be unclear at times so make sure you clarify what you need to do.

Comment:

One of my favorite professors at RWU. The class is not easy, and she makes you work hard for the grade you deserve but she does a great job with lectures. Tests are fair if you read and pay attention in class. It is clear that she has a passion for her work, and it makes the class more enjoyable overall. Plus I like her sense of humor.

Do not take Criminology with Scott. She's a great person but awful teacher. If you like doing presentations and taking oral exams then take this class, if not I would avoid! You never really know what she's talking about in lectures and it just does not make sense

Scott is so passionate about what she teaches and always encouraged myself and others to learn. She is so funny and sweet. She doesn't take attendance so you can miss as much as you want but if you do miss you definitely will miss a lot of important material. I recommend anyone to take her classes! She is a hard teacher but she is awesome!

Extremely passionate and has high expectations from her students. She is a constructivist, therefore, her goal is to help you improve and challenge you. I have taken 2 classes so far with Dr. Scott and have learned more in her 2 classes than all of my other classes combined. She is truly a blessing to the field of Criminal Justice

The most passionate professor I have met at RWU. She is VERY knowledgable about her field and the classes she teaches. Definetly a prize for the RWU community. She is very enegetic and honestly you would not be bored, ever! As long as you do a great job at the work she assigns, A! mix of informal group presentation, paper, exam. Please take her!!!!

Intense and interested profesor who loves what she does. She continually challenges students.You genuinely earn and accomplish in her classes. You leave w/ a true sense of accomplishment! She is responsible for most of my graduate level classes. Academia would benefit from more like her. Too many are satisfied w/ sub-standard education.
