Maddy was such an awesome professor! She was so inspiration. She was so genuinely kind and cares about her students. Dont get me wrong, you do need to work to get a good grade. You have a quiz every week on the chapter and the chapter can be as short as 15 pages or as long as 50. Your grade drops if you dont participate or show up.

Comment:

Favorite professor I've had, she is so kind and has you call her by her first name. She is hilarious, I loved going to her class. Read chapter, take 10 question quiz and if you read, it was easy then you review chapter. Pretty easy if you're interested in the topic. I have learned a lot from this class and have applied it to my communication skills

Maddy is awesome. If her heart were any bigger, it would explode - EXCEPT in the classroom, no excuses! You will learn a lot from Maddy, and, as long as you stay on her good side (aka follow university policies), you will love her classes.

Her class was just a struggle to sit through. You take the quizzes and then talk about the chapters. After taking the quiz, the rest of the week felt pointless because you will not use the material again until the midterm or final. Cannot skip class or she chops your participation grade

This was an AMAZING class! Maddy is not just an awesome professor but an awesome person as well. She won't hold your hand and you will have to show up and put some effort in but she is one of the few who really, really cares for her students. Absolutely take her if you can!

Maddy is honestly the sweetest teacher you will ever have. She cares deeply about her students' lives and well being. She is a little strict on attendance, so always go to class. There is a quiz every week on the reading, so be sure to read thoroughly. She brings her dog to class :) She is extremely warm hearted and always gives great examples.

She is amazing and kind a funny and helpful and always there for her students. Show up, don't cheat, read the chapters and you will be fine. She is going to give you the exact grade you deserve no matter how much she likes you. If you don't pay attention and keep up on reading it will be a hard class. Otherwise it is easy, engaging, and even fun.

Attendence is mandatory, but going to class will be anythg but dull. Maddy's lectures are interactive and energetic, and class periods usually fly by! She will tell you what will be covered on her tests, and her syllabus is followed strictly.

This one one of the most interesting classes I have ever taken. I loved going to class and never missed a day. Maddy is big on participation, but I never felt nervous or pressured to participate, and I hate participating in class! Maddy was such a good teacher I switched to her as my academic advisor because I loved her so much!

I am about to enter my junior year in college and i have to say hands down maddy is one of the best professors i have ever had. she uses alot of real life personal example and she does alot of role playing which really helps clarify the subject. READ THE CHAPTERS and participate in class and there is no way you wont get an A.

I've had Maddy for 3 classes. Human comm, docu film, and global film. An excellent professor. Enthusiastic and respectful. You must do your homework or your quizzes will suffer. Also encourages lots of class participation. Super nice and informative. Overall excellent prof.

Maddy Cahill is MY GIRL! I had her for Intro to Human Comm. She is so helpful and she really cares about her students. She can be a stickler for grammar, which makes her a hard grader, but she really wants her students to do well. I would take any class with Maddy that you can!

Maddy is one of the best teachers I've ever had, period. She does make you work, but unlike in most classes, it's not just busy work. You will learn something! She really knows what she's talking about and she really cares about her students. She got me interested in something I never even knew I liked. Take her classes!!!
