Comment:

For someone w a left-brained approach to art, being exposed to her class was great for my growth and development. She taught me how to take risks and color outside the lines. While she helped me a lot w my personal problems, I relied on my friends in other classes to learn what we were supposed to learn in DSGN100.

Comment:

Prof Neblett gives a lot of homework and she changes the criteria of projects a lot, but I feel she changes criteria based on ideas that her students have which inspires creativity and unique projects. Always available and answers emails fast. LOVE HER!!!!!!

Prof. Neblett is an amazing artist and a great professor. She gives a lot of homework and she changes the criteria of projects a lot, but I feel she changes criteria based on ideas that her students have which inspires creativity and unique projects. Comment:

Marcia is very sweet. What was annoying was she would say an assignment was due at a certain time and I would work all night to get it done and then in class a couple of people wouldn't have finished it and she'd say she'll take the assignments after everyone is done. It just didn't feel fair. This happened often. I didn't learn much either.

Comment:

This class was interesting. Neblett is so nice and caring- but I found myself frustrated at times. She gets excited about random things and then will randomly change the project criteria. It got annoying toward the end of the quarter- but she's an easy grader. Also the projects are boring and not very creative-theyre more of what shes interested in

Marcia cares way too much about the wrong things. When if comes down to it she's not very helpful with specific questions. She also is not very good at explaining projects and is pretty all over the place. She makes us all do some sort of group activity at the beginning of every class that is pointless to the class.

Comment:

Neblett is so far the best professor I've had at SCAD. Her teaching style is unique but very inspirational. Her craziness makes you feel so relaxed in class that you don't even mind that it's 8.00 am. She's easygoing still is respected. Be ready to work a lot and laugh too. Also, you'll probably hear about Faber-Castell. I'd take her again!! XD

Comment:

Neblett is the sweetest thing ever. She is kind of kooky and Too Excited sometimes (especially at 8 in the morning) but she is a good professor. She tends to change the grading criteria though, and can be a little confusing, but shes always open to questions and loves talking to the students. And she always answers emails with a ":-)".

Professor Neblett is so sweet! You can see she has a real passion for drawing and art. She has great project ideas and can build anyones confidence to become a sound drawer. She is humorous and each class is enjoyable!

Professor Neblett is seriously AMAZING!!! Each of her assignments were so fun and challenging at the same time. She responds to any questions you may have and gives great feedback to help with each final assignment. Definitely recommend her class! :) Praying I have her in another class!!!!

Comment:

Supplies were very expensive, but she means well and if you explain that you can't afford it she'll try to help out. Never buy everything she says, you really only need bare minimal and you can share tools pretty easy. Very sweet , gets really into the work. Not too much homework, always assigns project so you have an entire weekend or week.

Neblett and I have a love-hate relationship. Her class is easy, but she gets super excited about new materials and often assigns a ton of projects with one material. She's super sweet, and means well, but it can get repetitive. Also, DO NOT BUY THE KIT. No matter what she says, you WILL NOT use all of it, and it's hella expensive.

Professor Neblett truly cares about the class and how the students are progressing; it was the hardest I've ever worked. Prepare to spend MANY hours on each project. While I'm not sure how much I learned about design elements (there was very little critique geared at understanding principles) I can say that my work ethic improved.

She's cool, theres a lot of homework, but its not that hard. Just time consuming. And you don't really learn how to draw, you just do a bunch of assignments. but she's nice and you have a lot of time in class to work. Hardly any lectures. Critiques are short and sweet and never drag out the entire class time.

Comment:

This professor is always interested in students work and gives all positive feedback on work. When she demonstrates with art materials, she uses very interesting sound effects that can be creepy and childish. She can sometimes talk to you in a childish way thats unprofessional and weird. Her assignments are super easy to deal with.
