Once you get to know her on a personal level you understand what kind of strong and competent woman she is. She's been through a lot more than you would imagine. Gives wonderful extra sessions late at night to help students understand things better.Once in a while brings treats. high standards for students but doesnt always explain what she expects

Knows her subject like she invented it. I agree, she is incredibly intimidating, but an amazing person nonetheless, I think if she were a man,people wouldn't consider her intimidating.So for that I have to admire her.Can be tough on students and insensitive at times,but picks great music for us to play,which not a lot of conductors do.

she is a good teacher so far... and she's a very intimidating person. I feel small when I'm around her. honestly, she's not all that good at conducting... but other things, such as paino and flute... I'm very amazed at what she can do and teach. She has her strong points.
