He thinks his class is your only class. He will assign you around 10-30 pages of a textbook to read and analyze every single night, AND expect you to go to 3 to 4 LONG outside events on your own free time, not during class. Youll spend hours and hours working on things just for his class. Also, endless reading and writing.

Dr. OConnor is Ana amazing professor. He takes in to account the students needs and schedules, and takes time to work with students with disabilities and mental health issues. He joked around, assigns fun and easy assignments, and if you participate and talk in class youre good. Also, hes easy to email and talk to for extensions.

Okay, I have a love hate relationship with this man. As a person he is really nice and truly cares about his students. On the other hand he is a super tough grader and takes forever to gets things back. He's super quirky and takes some time to get used to. He talks super fast so get ready. I would take him again if I had to though.

As a professor he never really gives feedback or grades on time but as a person, he'll talk to your level and try helping you as best as he can. Kinda funny kinda arrogant but not a bad teacher. After three absences, you may get backlash and possibly "advised" to drop the class. There's papers almost every class varying in difficulty.

Good professor. Pretty funny guy. Participation matters. He will make you talk in front of the class, often. The assignments are good for developing as a writer. Gives extra credit multiple times. He doesn't like class clowns. He can come off as arrogant and sometimes seems to have mood-swings. Pay attention to the little details of assignments.

I really enjoyed Dr. O'Connor's class. Although he could be a bit arrogant at times, he is also always willing to help and I think he is always trying to be kind. The class is easy enough as long as you are passionate about your writing-he will notice that and grade accordingly.

I really enjoyed Dr. O'Connor's class. As a Creative Writing major I am excited to have him again in the future. Although he can be a bit arrogant, he does know what he is talking about and is super helpful and usually kind. If you are a passionate student his class is an easy A. He can recognize when a student works hard and is a fair grader.

Took him for Intro to Creative Writing, Fiction, and Non-Fiction. He is a good prof, knows what he is talking about, and gives regular assignments, but chooses favorites. He is a nice guy but arrogant--helpful if you ask. Class is easy to pass if you try. Take him.

He's funny, but also a bit arrogant. He wouldn't even see my point of view half of the time, even if I presented a reasonable argument. He couldn't relate to my writing and I think that's why I never got anything more than a C on his papers. His class is fairly interesting, but feels pointless half the time.

I had Dr. O'Connor for Creative Writing, and it was my favorite class of the semester, easily. I'm a creative writing major, but even non-creative writing majors in my class loved it. He gives interesting assignments and encourages you to write constantly. Take him. He's very helpful and will work with you if he sees that you're honestly trying.

A very arrogant and unpleasant man. Thinks his class is the only one that his students have/the only one that is important. TONS of work and overlapping assignments, and this is very confusing. I am a fourth year student and his class has more work than the rest of my classes combined (and I have 18 credits!) I would not recommend him.

This guy thinks he's hilarious. The content of the class is very interesting though. We learn about very current things. We once had to write a paper about Tila Tequila. He is a hard grader though. Class can be fun. We watch a lot of youtube videos and we look at a lot of beer ads. The class is mostly about advertisements and irony.

He's a pretty good guy but he thinks he's the funniest guy ever. He doesn't explain what exatly he wants you to do for assignments but overall its a decent class. Only 4 papers a semester :)

enthusiastic about what he teaches but he isn't a very pleasant person. if you don't like being talked down to by professors who are unreasonably surly, take someone else.

Classes don't really have a clear purpose. Paper topics feel vague when you try to write them, but he wants students to find their own ideas. He's extremely sarcastic and quick to respond to anything. Attending class is fairly necessary to understand what you need to know. Actually answers e-mails and tries to help his students.

This is a professor who likes to teach his students. He tends to like students to grow in their own way. His instruction and text both guide and leave room for independant thought. He likes his students to enjoy what they do. WRITE. Take his class he's good!

Very sarcastic but very entertaining. Tough on grading bc he isn't specific on what he wants - tends to come off as personal sometimes. Conducts discussion well and keeps you busy with write-ups and reading. Final project is fun and interesting, main points come from 2 major stories/essays. Fun to talk w/, but tough to know what he wants with work.

Wonderful Class. I had lots of fun, and the assignments were actually enjoyable. Lots of work but make the best of each paper. He is very clear and so nice to talk to. He will help you with anything that you need. ;-) Oh and easy on the eyes, not gorgeous but not a dawg
