Dr. Wilson is an amazing professor from his lecture to his compassion for his students to pass. I was lucky enough to take his CAPI or Study of Capitalism course and I enjoyed it. It isnt difficult at all you just need to know how to write (short short answers for the tests) and maybe one to two group paper projects. The class is not an easy A as

He is kind and for the most part understanding and is willing to help that being said I have a problem with his teaching style what he should do is have students read and do assignments on chapters instead he has students read and memorize 4 yes 4 textbooks and right an essay on a question he gives you for the midterm and final

Dr. Wilson is a relatively boring professor. Although I bet he has good intentions overall the class is boring and he repeats himself multiple times throughout the course and his lectures. Easy A if papers are completed and you look over the notes online before the test.

I didn't like the way he had his tests. They were in examination books and I feel that proper tests asking questions about the units we discussed would be more effective in remembrance for exams. His PowerPoint slides were confusing, and he had us working in groups where we couldnt even really talk to each other effectively. wouldnt recommend

Attendance is mandatory and if you miss more than 2 classes, you'll loose points on your final grade. I think attendance is worth 25%? Crazy! Lectures are pretty boring. You have to do Moodle postings which are annoying. Tests are fairly straightforward. It's a history class, but feels like a political science class. Wouldn't take him again.

Dr. Wilson really knows his stuff. The class is really a discussion type of setting, and if you pay attention, do the readings, and come to class then you will be fine. He grades really hard and expects you to be as knowledgeable as him.

He is so boring!! I slept almost everyday. He never goes into details about the required reading he just shows vague power-points and asks himself rhetorical questions. Didn't really learn anything I didn't already know. On the bright side, there are no papers except exams and those are relatively easy

He is a very nic gut. He loves to answer you questions. The problem is he doesnt teach anything. You read the text and just discussion what you read. He doesn't lecture about the topic at all. So you basically dont learn anything from, you teach yourself.

This professor is so easy!! EASY "A"! If you attend class and read sometimes you'll be completely fine. Don't be scared of the syllabus either, it really is not a problem at all!! :) He's so nice and helpful if you need it, can be boring but it is History.

One of the worst classes i've ever had. He cares only about his own interests, not about the material required for the course. He's smart but he comes to class unprepared to teach, i'd say he spent at least 20 minutes every day just staring blankly into the class with nothing to say. Easy A, but don't expect to learn anything in his course.

Wilson is very knowledgeable about his subject material, and this is conveyed in the information he provides. This course was a seminar, so there were no lectures or exams - just discussions & papers. Wilson is a good prof, and his grading is just & fair, though he does not provide much feedback on assignments. Expectations are clearly defined.

Wonderful prof. Very helpful, he looked over my senior thesis until I got it right and understood what I needed to change. Will work with you the best he can. Lectures are decent, but they are relative to the reading. He knows his stuff very well and is always ready for discussion.

Love this professor and his class! If you are in any way intrested in history you will enjoy this course. I came into this course looking forward to it but Professor Wilson made me enjoy it that much more. Great professor! We need more like him at UNCC! Work load is not overbearing. Lectures are simple. Expect nightly reading, not much though.

Terrible class! DO NOT TAKE! The man knows alot, but it's not a History class...it's a polotics class. He spent 1 day on the Vietnam War and 4 days on the polotics during the Cold War. Nice guy, but not a very good professor. He tends to space out for about a minute staring at the back wall. Boring class, hard class. Do not take.
