If you've read any of these reviews for her......THEY'RE ALL TRUE. She is scatterbrained, confused, disorganized, forgets EVERYTHING. Granted the tests are take home, but she gives out 4 to 5 handouts a day and barely uses the book. Keep the handouts, you'll need them for the test. It's an easy GPA booster, but sit in the back and sleep. Really

Comment:

Dr. Pauken was a bit scatterbrained and she admitted it. She was always herself, meaning that she wanted to make sure everyone in her class left with some helpful information or new ways of looking at situations. All the tests are take home open resource essays but there are only 2, quizzes are once a week and she reviews the answers before them.

I loved this teacher! She was so sweet. She went through a rough time when I had her but she still made it to class. Some of the material is hard but the quizzes & essays are pretty easy. She makes you use your brain! She is willing to help if you ask. Oh and don't talk when she is or she will embarrass you.

This is the worst teacher I've ever taken. She is completely scatterbrained, unorganized, and randomly jumping from religeon to religeon. She is not very nice at all. Her mood changes daily. Most people slept The tests are extremely easy, because they are all take home. But keep all the handouts she gives you.You will need them for the tests.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!The teacher is the most un-organized person. She forgets everything: Papers, tests,Grade Books. She never talks about what she is supposed to, & is completely random in her style of teaching. Nothing correlates with anything else. This is an Easy class, but you wont learn anything. She grades by who she likes the most.

Amazing professor!!!I made an A so easily!!:)And I WAS never interested in Philosophy before taking her class!!NOw i LOVE IT!!lol You only have to do few quizzes and 2 essays. Quizes are SUPER easy!lol. She tells you answer before giving them out!:) And you can always do UNLIMITED extra credit!:) Essays are SUPER easy too!!!HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Nice woman. A little hard to comprehend the material but it's Philosophy so what do you expect. Come to class, write down whatever she does on the board. Try to read some of the book. And if you can, sit next to someone who knows what she's talking about.

She is a very nice lady, but she is all over the globe in her teaching style. She wants to be helpful and tries to be, but when you leave class you are wondering what the heck was she talking about. Don't buy the book, you open it maybe twice, the rest of the time she uses handouts.

Where should I begin with her, she is extremely boring, she mumbles off subject, over 50% of the time in her class she would be just talking and no one would be listening. You could almost never show up and pass her class, We learned more greek mythology than anything. SHE IS EXTREMELY BORING!!!! DON'T TAKE HER CLASS.

Haha, her class was pretty out there. She doesn't make much sense as far as the material is concerned yet wants you to know all the information. A friend of mine has his Master in Philosophy so he was a great help. She was also late to class by atleast 5-10 minutes every morning.

Took her for Intro to Phil. The class might seem hard but that's because of the nature of the subject being taught. She's not as bad as everyone says. I didn't take half of the quizzes she gave out in class but still managed to get an A. Might seem boring but again, it's the nature of the subject. She's very nice and approachable.

Do not take this teacher, drop out if you're still capable. I signed up for Comparative Religion, though that's not what the class seemed like at all. SEVERAL times have I heard people muttering "What was she talking about??" while leaving the classroom. She kind of just drones on as if having a conversation with herself.

She was a very monotoned professor. I had her for english and we ended up learning more history than anything. Her final was completely different than anything we had learned in class. The grade is easy as hell, but she is a lot more boring than it is actually worth!

Comparative Religion was the topic. But we pretty much learned Greek Mythology and Christianity the entire semester. I was hoping to learn about some actual other religions like Islam, Taoism, Buddhism, Hinduism. These were barely mentioned, if at all. I was very disappointed in the class.

Ok, so I took this class for English composition and rhetoric. What I got was Greek mythology. I am not joking. I learned about the Greek gods, it was on my final exam! She rambles, goes off topic, unclear due dates! I learned about Greek mythology and some American history. DO NOT TAKE HER! I missed like 5 days, so I know, dont take her!
