She's a nice lady and her class isn't that hard if you go to class. Does not give the powerpoints so you have to actually take notes. Just a midterm and a final. Couple pop quizzes but she hints at them. One big group project focusing on the Michael Brown case but it's pretty easy! Pay attention, take notes, do the readings and you'll be fine

Some students claim you need to read all the assigned reading. I just showed up every class (guided notes, SHOW UP!) and then basically memorized her powerpoint slides for the tests. 4 100 question multiple choice tests, no final. A few random assignments that count for participation, lowest of these (or skipped class) gets dropped in participation

The exams were really difficult and required you to read the book as well as supplemental materials and be able to memorize federal and state cases by name and facts. The papers were much easier, essentially being graded on completion. The class is dry and difficult but may be appealing to those interested in criminal justice or law related careers

She teaches a lot of information in a little time, lectures really quickly. But she knows so much and helps you a lot if you need it. her exams are really hard and you need to read the book in order to really get all the information for them. There's papers you need to write too but she's not so tough on those. Good class to take, really interestin

Understanding Serial Killers- excellent class; she's GREAT. Knowledgeable, reasonable, and approachable. She's one of SLUs more legit teachers-don't be afraid to ask Qs/ for her to slow down. Takes notes w/ a lappy to keep up. She loves participation/discussion-definitely contribute. I've had her for 3 classes & have aced them all- you can too! :)

VERY knowledgable about subject matter, but goes VERY fast also. The tests aren't too bad if you really study. You just have to attend every class and copy every word she says. And then she also takes a few questions from the text, which is pretty lengthy. There's also a jail visit which was really cool!

Great professor. Just remind her to slow down. Take GOOD notes. Skim the textbook. Go to EVERY class even though you don't have to. You'll do great if you study your notes and go to class. She's great at answering questions; she loves to help and never makes you feel stupid when asking for clarification. Highly recommend :-)

I took the intro to criminal justice class with her, it is pretty easy. You go to class, listen to her talk and then take three tests and a jail visit. Pretty simple. The only bad thing is the words she uses are all liek lawyer words that noone can understand. Its pretty easy

a very easy class but her lectures put you asleep. if you can't attend her class, just read the textbook and you will get an A. she gives extra credit when people don't show to class. if you are one of the people who attend class regularly i suggest that you sit at the back (for better sleep). :-)
