Professor Dusik is a great professor. He goes on very fun tangents but makes them important to the class and the lecture. If you don't attend class, you better read your book, but if you attend the class the book is completely unnecessary. There are 8 papers that you have to write but he doesn't care if you plagiarize them. Overall great teacher.

Mr. Dusik is a really nice guy. He gives study guides for the midterm and finals. But don't heavily rely on the guide, sometimes he asks the short questions as well as multiple choice from the topic outside the guide. But the essay questions are pretty much given in the guide. And his lectures are some what boring, but he will makes you think.

western Civ to 1690. Not a bad class- didn't expect a lot of the things I learned about! It was an 8AM class so I definitely wasn't in my best mood, but it's simple-attend, do the work, and STUDY. the exams aren't hard at first but be ready to write on the back. I watched 2 gentlemen drop at the first study guide but I got a 94% in the class

Amazing teacher. Took him for Western Civilization and U.S History classes . If you're looking for a class where you're looking to put little effort into getting an A, this is the prof. 8 papers for the semester, and you could write basically anything about the topic as long as it is 600 words and receive a completion grade.

If you hate education as a whole and are looking for a class to learn absolutely nothing in while getting a guaranteed A, then look no further than Professor Dusik. The class has 8 essays (2 pages each), a midterm, and a final. The essay are completion based and the tests are cakewalks, but the class is more boring than anything I've sat through.

Professor Dusik is very unique at COD. He encourages you to question the world around you and why it is the way it is. I have a feeling that many students might feel he's condescending, but I believe that he certainly is not meaning to come off that way. He values and appreciates participation, which is hard to get out of students, so try to do so.

One of the greatest teachers I have had in my life. If you have a question, he will go in depth and make sure that the class understands. He is not your typical teacher who expects you to believe in everything he says, his points are always backed by evidence and he encourages students to question what they are taught.

Amazing teacher, very knowledgable. I Absolutely loved his lectures, he makes history interesting. If you are not looking to learn anything and just want an easy A i do not recommend this teacher for you, but if you want to expand your knowledge Mr. Dusik will answer any questions you may have, AND his stash is wonderful :)

Solid teacher. Lectures are not super exciting, but he does have some interesting insight. The class consists of 8 2-page papers, a midterm, and a final. You do need to study for the tests if you want an A, but the rest of the class is very easy.

Dusik is a great teacher! There are 8 super easy 2 page response papers. Not even papers, basically you can use Wikipedia and you get an A. He has the best perspective about citing sources and he doesn't make you do it at all. Great teacher! Lectures are long, but you don't really need to go to them to pass. Definitely will take again!

He's got a sweet mustache. He's a little rude and his lectures are controversial topics, but interesting but he's relatively easy: several two-page response papers due on assigned reading (just do the two pages and it's an A), and only two tests: midterm and final. Tests were relatively difficult, but he gives you a lot of study guides which helped

Most boring class I have taken at COD. His lectures were painful. He is a really smart guy but it was not a class that really got you to learn anything. You just sat there and listened to him talk. I'm pretty sure he knew none of our names.

Grading is 40% 2-3 page opinion responses (he gives 100% on every paper turned in), 25% midterm, 25% final, and 10% participation. Exams are half multiple choice and half essay (again, 100% as long as you have some idea what you're writing about). Nice guy, but if you're a liberal some of the things he says in class will make your head explode.

Professor Dusik is a really easy grader and the papers are super easy to write. There are only two exams and for the writing section he gives everyone a 100 on them. Really easy A and I thought he was really interesting. You should definitely take him!

Relatively easy class. Easy grader on tests. 10 2 page papers as homework. You can basically copy from wikipedia for them. Interesting lectures, even though he presents an anti liberal view of American history i.e. all republican presidents were good all democratic presidents horrible
