LOVED him & his class, I already miss not having him as a prof. He's so sweet & teaches the material well by writing on paper in-person (online he went through his pages with us in detail as if we were in class) & he always uploads the pages online. We had 2 exams (100pt) and a final (200), & weekly HW (part of recitation grade). I recommend him!!!

He's overrated. Lectures are extremely boring. Exams are very difficult but at least he gives practice exams. Do all (25-30 points) of the extra credit.

Dr. Golde is amazing and he's one of my favorite professors! He's so passionate about the material and he does a great job explaining difficult material. His tests are not easy, but if you go to class, take notes, and practice enough, you can do well. Definitely take advantage of the extra credit opportunities and all the resources he posts online.

Golde is a great choice for Chem 2. He is very kind and cares about his students, though his class is not easy by any means. The tests are very difficult, but if you take good notes in class, read the textbook, and utilize recitations, you can do well. Attendance isn't mandatory for his class, but it's really helpful to be there, and to take notes.

Golde is a great teacher. He gives you lots of resources, practice, and all the tools needed to succeed. With that being said, his tests are HARD. Substantially more difficult than recitation quizzes and homework. This class is by no means an easy A, but I definitely learned a lot. He gives a lot of extra credit which helps cushion low test scores!

Golde is a great choice for gen chem. I am NOT good at gen chem in the slightest but was able to get an A- in gen chem 2 because of him (I got a B in Fortney's gen chem 1). He has good lectures and is a very cute old man. He can be condescending at times so just ignore it. Just take good notes and DO THE PRACTICE EXAMS AND ALL EXTRA CREDIT.

I love this man. I would take him again and again if I could. He does demos in classes and takes a break halfway which is so helpful with the heavy content. He does everything he can to help his students pass. He responds to emails quickly and with much detail. I would recommend him everyday to anyone.

Golde was a great choice for Chem 2. He's not only adorable, funny, & cares a lot about teaching but it's easy to succeed if you put in the work. He gives tons of extra credit (30 points of it) & the hw is heavy but prepares you & forces you to learn the material over time. He gives you old tests/finals over the past few years which is so helpful.

Personally, I loved Dr. Golde. While his lectures aren't the most interesting, the notes he gives are so clear, detailed and very relevant to what exams will be on. His exams are very hard but he gives you plenty of resources- so many old exams, etc. which makes it possible to do well. Plus tonsss of extra credit! And hes also adorable

He was an okay professor. His lectures were very dry and boring. Lots of bonus points and it makes it almost impossible to fail. Quizzes were very easy but the midterms were very conceptual based. Lots of homework as well. He gives Sapling homework along with written homework. Textbook is online and free. Golde is one of the better Chem professors

Dr. Golde is truly an amazing professor. He's been teaching this course for longer than most of us have been alive, and his passion for chemistry is unparalleled. Yes, his exams might be difficult... but you'll be glad to have Dr. Golde as your professor. Extremely organized and dedicated. Provides many resources for success. I greatly respect him.

Definitely the most knowledgeable professor for Chem 2. He's super passionate about what he teaches. His tests are hard but if you study old exams (he gives you a ton of them) you'll know what to expect. Gives lots of extra credit opportunities. Also homework (textbook problems) is a portion of your grade and it helps you study!

Ungodle over rated. Extremely nice guy, but 16 question multiple choice exams with choices A-I? absurd. I would tutor kids in other classes with teachers that are considered far harder and they would get As, where I ended with a C+. I am not the best test taker, but his ambiguity was off the charts.

If you want an A in chem 2 take Golde. The way he sets up his recitations is engaging and set you up for success on his tests. I think his lecturing ability is overhyped. I could barely understand him and he was boring. I eventually started skipping. Still ended with an A because of the 25-30 extra credit points!

I really thought he was a helpful teacher. I didn't do so well because chem is hard, but it wasn't because he was a bad teacher. Good class. Take him.

He is the best professor I had during my freshman year if you are looking for learning chemistry 2 with good professor, Dr. Golde is your choice. His class might feel homework heavy, but it is graded leniently and the TA's are amazing as well. You still need to work hard to get those extra credits and success in the class

By far the best option to take for chem 2. If you do the homework, sapling, and extra saplings you will understand the material well-- but you will only do well on the exams if you study the past exams hard to get a feel for the tricks he pulls on them. Put in a good amount of effort directed at past exams and his review sessions and you're set.

Golde is great. He loves teaching and has so many ways to get help in class if you are struggling (office hours, extra recitations). Creates great study guides/outlines for his tests and has past exams to study with online. Very organized. Has short sapling set and textbook homework due each week. Lots of extra credit in place.
