Very helpful and approachable, conferences for papers are a huge help. Does not give many As, but he is willing to help you get good grades. Interesting guy, funny, and also fun to just sit and chat with. Recommend him for 1st semester freshmen, extremely helpful and fun, even if he appears boring at first

Myles is a nice, funny professor but he has some definite problems in the teaching realm. For this class you will need to have some natural talent to "rise above" a C, no matter how much work you put in.

Myles is way smarter than all his students so I think the reason we would get so bored or whatever is because he had a hard time relating to all of us. He's a really nice guy though & conferences were extremely helpful if your complete paper is written out cause he'll tell you what to change, etc. to get an A.

I think that Myles is really cool and knows a lot about what he teaches. I think there's definately a difference in his teaching styles between composition classes and playwrighting since just about every english professor ABHORES teaching 101 and 102. Definately a great prof for 300.

I don't see how anyone can like this guy! he is the most boring person and his tests are stupid! the 1st test we took had like 15 poems and 3 short stories and he took a line from each of them and expected you to know what story or poem it came from!DON'T

Honestly I hated this class. He grades things way too hard and never gives out A's b/c he expects A papers to be perfect. Conferences were helpful, but what good is it if he tells you what he likes and only marks a few things wrong and still won't give As

Myles was awesome! I really enjoyed his class. At first its hard to get used to his grading style, but after the first few papers you start to do a lot better! You have a fair amount of papers, but 2 weeks on and 2 off is awesome!

He is very hard and is not clear with what he whats you to do. His papers are imposible and he will never give anyone an A. He was good in 101, but is terrible in 102! Do not take him!!!!!!!! Unless you want to get a C!!lol

Myles is so cool, and some of the things he says in class are just hilarious! He is somewhat understanding about deadlines and things, but he is definitely a hard grader. I can't wait to take The Modern Drama!
