Comment:

Taking his Intro to Bio lab online, has not graded any assignments. Class is extremely disorganized, and if you try to email him for clarification you get a very short, not helpful response. Finals week is this week and no assignments have been graded, dont know where I stand in the class. Other than that, the labs are simple and straightforward.

Comment:

I've taken a lot of his online courses (Toxicology, Genetics, Forensic DNA Analysis) and enjoyed them. The weekly discussions aren't a complicated assignment so make sure to do all of them to build up points. The exams are based off the topics/ modules, they're not hard, and they aren't timed (so no pressure!). Totally recommend his classes!

Amazing professor! Tox was super easy and he gave you all of the info you'd need to study for each test. Tests were so easy, and the only homework required was a weekly discussion post on blackboard. As long as you got those in, you're golden. I missed many weekly discussions and still passed with an A so I'd recommend this professor and class!

Goldstein is willing to help students with everything they needed. He made class interesting. He is the best teacher at UTEP and UTEP is the best of the best university in the USA. Just don't be lazy. So I highly recommended!!!

I took this course online and it's an easy A. Course grading: two exams (each worth 100 points) and weekly discussion participation posts on blackboard (comment on two classmate's posts.) I would get the book just to make finding the answers easier. He offers extra credit, 6 points. Exams are not timed.

This is my 3rd class with Dr. Goldstein and he is a very good professor. I took all his classes online and as long as you do the discussions each week you'll be fine. His exams aren't timed which you have plenty of time to come back to each question. You don't really need the book since you can look up the material online.

His online class is easy, but he's a horrible professor. I had to take two multiple choice tests with a research paper. No final. Had alot of questions that couldn't be answered thru email. His tests are exactly the same from previous semesters(at least when I took it). Doesn't answer your emails fully. HORRIBLE

The online version of this course is disorganized and the professor is pompous and unhelpful. Sarcastic comments when a student asks for help does not enhance the learning process. If you would like to learn genetics, go somewhere else. If you would like to be insulted, this is your class.
