If you are sensitive andor politically correct, don't take. He treats everyone like adults (which is refreshing) and is very knowledgeable. You don't need to buy the book. His exams are based solely on lecture and he lets you know what will be on the exam in advance. Only criticism is that he is a little bit of a tough grader on papers.

Show up to class. he takes attendance every day. Basically lectures every class. Dont even bother buying the text books. never even opened it. Two exams and one big group project which is an advertising campaign for a new product you have to create. You pick group members.

Dr. Smith is a very good professor. Attendance is mandatory but only tests on what was covered in lecture. Don't need the book at all, so if you miss a lecture it maybe tough to catch up unless find someone to copy the lecture notes from. 3 tests, one 3-5 page paper & one 8-12 page paper at the end of the semester

Knows the subject very well but swears constantly and his off color comments are extremely offensive. I understand that I am an adult but it is very unprofessional to talk in that mannor. Talks about his car constantly and he doesn't even own it!!!

Peter Smith is a great teacher who always keeps the subject interesting. He tells you what you need to know for the test and its straight forward. Sometime he makes comments that push the limit of what is appropriate for class but I think everything that he says is hilarious.
