Dr. Warbutron had the best lectures, engaging, topical, and insightful. The work is hard and it will get you thinking, but the outcomes from her course are all worth it.

I had Warburton for a mandatory course. It is essential that you attend class and do all readings. With a unique sense of humour, she can come off as standoffish and is a little intimidating. However if you are struggling in any of her courses I encourage you to approach her and ask for help. She will go well out of her way to accommodate you.

I have taken a few of Warburton's courses now, and overall I think she is a good teacher. She is capable, consistent, and very clear in the way she organizes her course. If you keep up with the readings, you'll do fine. However, she is also one of the toughest markers I've ever dealt with. A word of advice: do not go a single work over her limit.

Warburton is amazing, and one of my favourites. Yes, she expects a lot from you- but if you put in the effort of showing up to class and participating, you will not only get an excellent mark- you will also actually learn something. That's what I really love: in her class, you actually THINK, not just spit what she says back to her on a test.

Anyone saying Dr. Warburton is anything less than brilliant clearly hasn't got a clue. She was undoubtedly one of the best profs I had the pleasure of learning from. If you work hard, you'll do well. If you are lazy and don't commit, you'll do terrible.

Don't let the bad reviews scare you. I took her because of a mandatory course and can honestly say she is an amazing prof. You will learn so much regarding literature content and writing style. She is a difficult marker but over a 70 is attainable if you attend class and put in the effort. Wonderful prof! She can even make theory class interesting.

Seriously, how does this woman have a PhD when she can't even find a thesis statement? Do not ever take a class from her. Assignment instructions aren't clear, her marking has no method and your average will suffer. Worst teacher ever.

Rachel is definitely a challenge. I often find that she is blunt, and rude. Although energetic during her lectures, she is not a very approachable person, quite intimidating actually. She also RARELY responds to her e-mails, which is 100% frustrating. I would most likely not take a class with her again.

I had her in 3rd year. Disliked her. Had her for a masters class. abraisiveness, belittling got worse. Don't take her class if you're outspoken. She will try to crush you. Especially if your opinion is radically different from hers... I don't knowhow she expects anyone to grow. Maybe that isn't her goal. cloning is.

Good speaker. Very clear marking schematic. Entertaining. Injects the subject matter with passion & interest. but... Spends way too much class time trying to explain to individual people how their answers could be possibly maybe interpreted as correct. Becomes very boring very quickly if you already know why and how those answers are/aren't right.

Dr. Warburton's classes are ALWAYS very interesting, engaging, and thoroughly satisfying. She has a great teaching style, and her smile lights up the room. She reaches a wide range of students, making complex ideas easy to understand and addresses issues of sex and gender in works that are always crowd-pleasers! I love Dr. Warburton!

one of the worst eng. classes i've taken, she is extremely biased and unfair in marking. if she labels you as no good in her first class, you're condemned for the course. i am not a poor student yet saw my mark drop significantly in her class. seems to enjoy belittling others and making them feel inferior-stay away from her courses.

She is certainly not closed minded nor threatened by the supposedly staggering intellects of some of these students who have rated her. She is by far one of the best proffs LU has to offer. Quick as a whip, a very capable lecturer who encourages thoughtful discussion and provides some of the most useful feedback I have ever recieved on a paper.

I'm not as critical of her class as others I've spoken to, but sometimes readings are covered in the blink of an eye which is frustrating when you're being tested on the material. Hard to figure out what she wants. Otherwise, an extremely approachable person who has an excellent sense of humour. Deffinitely knows her stuff, just not for everyone
