Comment:

She is retired now (retired 2 weeks into my class for health reasons), but she was absolutely amazing. I wish I could have had her for a full term. Sweet, sweet lady. Not sure what the vague complaints I got about her prior to the class were about. She did not live up to such negative standards. The whole class misses her!

Comment:

One of the most boring classes I have ever taken. She just sits and reads the board and often goes off on random tangents. She does answer questions well and does want her students to do well, but if you aren't a lecture person then definitely don't take this class. She also takes off points on labs for very minimal mistakes, so beware.

Comment:

Dr. Rice is a super nice person. Her teaching style, however, isn't the best I've seen. She reads her powerpoints in a monotone voice, going through chapter material very quickly without reviewing. Use the study guides she gives! She does care a lot about her students and wants them to succeed.

Although you can tell Dr. Rice is very smart, she's not so great at lecturing. She reads off her PowerPoints in a monotone voice, and it's really very boring. However, she seems to also hate lectures the most so she tries to get done with that ASAP. Her labs are always a lot of fun, and the class is pretty easy. I would honestly take her again.

This was the most boring class I have taken in college. All she does is talk, and talk, and lecture, and talk. She is a very sweet lady, but I seriously hated how boring her lectures were. There were no other learning activities besides doing the Connect. I would recommend taking someone else for this class.

Mrs. Rice is a sweet lady, but not the best teacher. I think she knows what she's talking about it's just hard for her to actually teach it. She'll tell stories for most of class and she cancels class ALL the time. Her tests are also multiple choice so you don't have to totally stress. LOTS of busy work. Just keep up with it and you'll be okay!

Dr. Rice is one of the sweetest & Most Blunt teachers you will find. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable of her material! I loved her class and her TEST 2 is a BEAST so study hard! She gives you everything you need to succeed! Do all the small stuff because they all add up in the end!!

She is very nice and funny.She will talk about herself the entire quarter but it is nice b/c you don't have to do as much and she likes to get a personal feeling with her students b/c she cares.Some say she is boring but I found her interesting and funny.
