Every class, every week was one step forward three steps back. He knows his stuff, but can't tell any of it without explaining a useless piece of info or going back to something we already learned and wasting 90% of class time to do it. With papers he is useless and you might as well write whatever and make sure you quote the bible.

Loved seminar, tons of information. Media theology was a little unclear, but a brand new course at the time. Take the classes, if anything you learn a lot, and a lot about yourself. Good teacher, good man.

Dr. Lumpp is an extremely man. He's not always clear about what he wants, but that's simply because his mind works in a way that college students cannot grasp. His techniques are not fully appreciated until you've graduated or left the university.

His grading is very unfair. He does not give any feedback about how to make papers better, and he changes his criteria without telling the students. He is very intelligent, but his class is a drag and he is usually in a bad mood.
