I never knew this course existed for 40 years. I learned a lot. Yes, A lot of homework and exams. The class was hard, but it was worth learning Linguistics too. Excellent teacher with great sense of humor and immense sense of positivity in the air whenever he teaches his students. I love his confidence too-keep it up Rick

Rick loves teaching and it shows which is what makes him such a great teacher. The class was not easy by any means but he is very accessable outside of class and explains the material clearly, very patient. His exams are tough but very fair. He even makes phonology fun! I wish there were more teachers like him!
