Tips: On the first day, bring a dictionary, a black pin, and ink corrector. If you have a thesaurus BRING IT! She makes every student write an essay about ____ subject. If you score poorly, you'll get a chance to revise it IN CLASS at the end of the semester. Attend her office hours. She corrects your essays and gives you great tips to get an A.

Ms. Stagnaro is a very nice teacher. I enjoyed her class because she always talked about interesting subjects. She is knowledgeable and very good at what she does. You are required to write 2 in class essays and 4 home essays during the semester and a quiz every other week. Make sure to write down the instructions and expectations for each essay.

She is a really Good teacher, she seems intimidating at first but she is actually really nice and helpful, 6 essays, and the research paper is based one a movie which makes it less stressing!the quizzes are based on the readings and are pass or no pass grade. If you like English you will enjoy her class. Not an easy A but totally recommend her!

Not as bad as people say. She is strict and no-nonsense but it keeps the expectations for the class clear. There are about 6 papers total and all but one is revisable. Take what you can from the lectures. They are more relevant than you might think. Tough teacher but she actually teaches. Finished the class better equipped to write a quality essay.

DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS! Extremely rude. Complains about having to grade papers even though that is her job. She should be approachable. She needs to retire and let someone that enjoys teaching take over. Said she is bias and that is why she doesn't look at names while grading-so if she doesn't like you, you will get a bad grade. Why is she teaching?

She is angry and annoying. She refused to add me to her email list. Assignments and other notifications were being sent through email so I had no chance of getting a good grade. She does not reply to emails. And she yells like a bitter old lady. I had to drop her because my GPA is extremely important to me.

This is a pretty hard teacher, her lectures are boooooorrrinnggg and she always goes on talking off subject. Really hard to get an A on essays, which count for most of your grade. She's an old feminist and whatever you're talking about she'll relate it to women being treated as inferior to men in the past.

She is a hard teacher. She's very into english grammar and junk. I guess you could say she's helpful. Lots of quizzes and essays. You'll have to do at least 7 essays in the course!! Don't recommend her if you are not very into english because it isn't an easy class at all.

Though she seems intimidating, Prof Stagnaro is very nice and helpful. She works with your thesis individually for each paper, and is always happy to discuss your writing before or during class. She also allows you to rewrite every essay an unlimited amt. of times to achieve your best grade. Don't listen to the neg. comments, they're full of errors

At first you would be intimidated of her, although through the course she is pretty nice and VERY BLUNT. She also grades well easy on students. Just do the minimum requirements for this class and you will pass it; and be sure to do every essay!

If you are a good writer you won't have any trouble. She lets you revise every essays until you get an A. Easy course, but a lot of essays. Permits 15 abscences...good teacher but goes off topic a lot, you'll be doing the work by yourself
