Comment:

Shes a great professor who really knows the material well. Her classes are always lectures based off of the assigned reading so keep up with it or you will struggle! She has random pop quizzes on the readings too to make sure you keep up with it. If you come to class and read you should end up with at least a B.

Comment:

She was a wonderful teacher! Her tests are pretty easy if you listen to her lectures, take notes, and read. There's lots of reading, but it's definitely worth it since the majority of the tests are based from the readings. She has a great sense of humor and is willing to clarify anything if you don't understand!

Fine teacher, very particular in her grading. Tests are way harder than you expect. Lots of reading. Can't really miss class because you cant make up quizzes and class projects. Overall ok.

Schiller Ruth is reasonable in all aspects. She is clear with her expectations. Her tests are book intensive, but really doable. So far, I've received nothing less than an A. Take Ruth Schiller if you're motivated to really learn Psychology, and have a strong desire to feel "good" after her class periods. With the basis of knowledge of Psychology.

SHE IS SO BORING. She is akwardly funny, you cant help but to laugh at her sometimes. she is very slow paced. the tests are super hard, and i read the chapters too. all you do in her class is listen to lecture.

I would never recommend taking her. I got distracted watching her arms frail around & her fake smile. Not understanding in the least. I had a death in the family & she brushed me off. Study the book! 1 question: in what month does the thumbs form in the fetus...very titius! I would recommend Jay Anderson & Andy Tix :)

I do not recomend taking a class with her!!! She is one of the worst teachers I have ever had!!! The test are extremely hard, a lot of reading, she hardly explains anything. She covers only 20% of information in lectures.

She was very orginized and EXTREMELY helpful if you are confused or miss a class. Here tests are moderate-if you study your notes and do your reading you will do well. The only thing I didn't like was she was a little too slow-paced for me..but I had a 4 hour long course.

She was well prepared, kept you engaged in lectures. Book is highly used, lots of reading!! When I took the course she didn't have D2L available. Didn't have grades posted correctly with her system, thought I was doing alright, only to find out 2 classes before it ended, I was getting a D. And it was impossible for me to boost my grade anymore.

Absolutely wonderful class! Very animated and engaging lecture style. The class met once a week, and it was long, but she made it easy to stay attentive. Very well organized. Extremely sweet and approachable. One of my favorite teachers of all time at NCC. the ONLY thing I would change is that I wish she would use D2L. Otherwise, Perfect!

The class is a challenge - if you fall behind at all - you're screwed! She always allows you to go back and change your answers on tests for half credit which helped a lot! She's very knowledgeable and sweet. Great class if your are interested in psychology.

Comment:

Dr. Schiller is one of the best psychology teachers at NCC. She is reading intensive, but gives the opportunity to correct test answers for half credit which will push your grade higher. She is very approachable and very insightful. She is my favorite psych teacher; not necessarily, but psychology shouldn't be easy.

Her tests are 50 Qs MC, 40 are straight from the book and 10 are from her lectures. She let's you correct your wrong answers on tests for .5 point. So if you get a 40 on an exam you can correct all 10 wrong answers and get 45 (which is an A) instead. She seems kinda fake but overall she's pretty nice.

i do not recomend taking a class with her, there are other good psychology teachers, she is one of the worst teachers. the test are hard, too much reading. and not enough information in lactures. I got a C in the class, my recommendation don't take it with her, not cool teacher. OH yeah and youll get sick of her super fake smile all the time.
