Comment:

Professor McClean is very nice professor. She is very funny and helping. I have enjoyed and loved her every class. In the beginning of the semester, i thought to drop her course, but she was so helpful that she gave me confidence and i passed my class with good grade. Her way of teaching is so nice that the stuff she teaches stays with you forever.

Professor McClean made taking an english class so easy and enjoyable. You will do well if you follow her syllabus because it's very clear. She's always there to help and really does want all her students to succeed so as long as you're trying you'll be fine. Theres alot of work but her class is always fun. Take her class cause she one of the best

Comment:

She is a very passionate teacher and you can tell she loves her job. What she does not appreciate is students walking in late, which is understandable. She gives A LOT of work, but you learn a lot as well. If you're looking for an easy A, do not take her, but overall she is a wonderful professor and person. Just do your work and be respectful.

I wanted to like her and I suppose I did in a way. She often embarrasses students in class and her mood changes quickly. She can give bad writing advice, contradicts herself, and gives way too much busywork. Not sure how many trees she kills each class, but the handouts are excessive. She is very available for questions and help.

This class is only hard if you make it that way. You have to do the work, read the chapters, and read the syllabus. She is a very nice prof, and she is always willing to help any student that is willing to ask for the help. Really, it is what you make of the class.

She is very biased about people, of course about students too. I learned nothing from her. she is obsessed with "not only, but also" making the essay like elementary school level. it was waste of money and time. she seemed like coming to school just to chat.

Totally Crazy...But she was pretty cool. Syllabus easy to understand, she doesn't really tend to go off topic from that. Like another person said if she likes you, she likes you and good luck if she doesn't. I ended with a B in her class and she was more then willing to help during office hours and would "help" basically write your paper for you.

Terrible teacher. Ruined my whole semester having to come to this class. She acts like she cares about the students but she'll randomly snap at you for no reason. As said before, she's very biased. She's nice to you one minute and a total jerk to you the next. Spent more time in this class watching the clock than learning. NOT. Worth. Your. Time.

HORRIBLE. Totally unfair, arbitrary. She seems mentally ill or senile. She gives TONS and I mean TONS of busy work, boring grammar assignments that really don't do anything. She is obsessed with the word 'its.' Apparently, she says it's not a word. I guess she isn't familiar with Webster's Dictionary? She's really the pits. Unfair grading as well!

Prof. McClean was so awsome! She does give LOTS of work but she is redicilously helpful. She really wants you to succede. Make note that for 101a you must attend the smithsonian am. indian museum to pass. shes a very nice lady, kinda random with her stories, and gives lots of hw.

She must have a problem with homeworks, I really regreet why I picked her class. I was going to fail all my other classes during the semester because she didn't have any control with homeworks. Just like EN was the only class that students take during the semester. I can't recommend this prof to someone who want to take more than her en class

If your not good at english, do take en102 with her. But if your pretty good at writing many papers and reading she isnt that bad of a teacher. She is always willing to help you.
