Go to class, and don't show up late. Read. Be ready to discuss the readings. He's actually a kind grader, as long as you put the effort in. Getting an A participating in class, and putting in effort on the papers (3-4 pgs, easy). He's very intense, but he's passionate about the topics and he's a nice guy. Be respectful and you'll go a long way.

Do not take this class if you are not prepared to read A LOT and write a lot of papers. He is a hard grader and is not afraid to kick the class out if you don't read! in terms of knowledge he knows so much about history and is the best history teacher! expect to work hard though and go to class prepared

I never enjoyed history so much. He made it a story and really kept my attention. I looked forward to going to class. Professor Eames is an excellent instructor and I highly recommend him!
