He is a great professor. He wants you to learn the material, ot memorize it. He tries his best to make things more understandable. If you go to class and participate during the labs, your grade will be high. But, he's leaving this semester. His classes were myfavorite nad he was my favorite professor. I love Dr. Winfree!! He has always helped me with everything. He is always willing to talk and help you. If you pay attention and are interested in the subject you will understand. He wants you to learn, not memorize. I think he's great. And will be terribly missed when he leaves.

His class is extremely easy. The tests on the other hand are easy if you study about an hour, but the way he tests your knowledge is different and annoying. You learn a lot in his class but majority of the time you feel like his lectures are going no where. oh and good luck understanding his diagrams on the board.

You either love him or you hate him, I hate him with a passion. VERY preachy and I don't feel like I learn anything- we just go in circles. Definitely should have retired years ago. It seems your grade depends on how much he likes you and THINKS you know. You can have the same answer on a test as someone else and make a lower grade.

I have had Dr. Winfree every semester since I've been at Tech, and I've always gotten A's in his class, but he is getting less and less coherent the older he gets. You never know what you're going to get on his test, but as long as you know what he wants to hear, you'll get a decent grade.

Listen up Rednecks, get a life. Dr. Sam may be unclear to you but that is because most of you don't belong in college. I was an agronomy major an found Winfree to be alright, because he has a brain. As far a being a woman in ag, you need to toughen up pudden. All of this comes from a B/C student.

not recommended to take classes from. his tests are dependant on if he is in a good mood or not. he does like women- as long as they stay on his good side and as long as you are in ANS and not any other empasis- take good notes in class and on the labs. he will test mostly from there. he can be a little preachy- just don't argue with him.

dr.winfree was the worst teacher I have ever had.If he didnt like you, he woulndt go out of his way.His tests were so ridiculus that my father who used to teach Ag classes would even have hard time passing them.He says his test are fair but he likes to b.s. the students.

He is a jerk, unfortuanatley everyone eventually has to take him. He is a grouchy old phart and he loves to preach to us.He doesnt think women belong in AG, he actually told me that. I think he is mad because most of his students live on big commercial farm and all he has is a little hobby farm.

He's difficult to understand sometimes, but this class is SO easy it doesn't matter! He's a really nice guy; as long as you come to class and try hard, he'll give you a good grade.
