Driskel is such an amazing professor. She grades super light and is extremely organized. She gives several examples for every topic and is always open to questions. She shows you why the math is important to help you understand the material as well. There is homework due every class which kinda sucks, but honestly the homework is beneficial.

Loved Dr. Driskell! She was such a kind, caring, and funny professor. She was a great math teacher, and if you didn't understand the material, she was always willing to meet with you. 10/10 recommend her for Contemporary Math. She makes the class interesting and fun.

Really good prof. I enjoyed this class, very clearly taught. Personally, I thought there was a ton of homework and the homework is graded thoroughly and pretty tough, but if you understand the material, it doesnt matter. Tests are easy and if you score well, homework is only 10% of the final grade, so it doesnt really matter. Love Driskell.

She does a great job making the math understandable. One of my friends is taking another professor that teaches this course, and his experience has been horrific! He thinks the material isnt easy, but I do, and I know hes smarter than me! I really think Dr. Driskell does a great job explaining the math.

This is a tough class--a lot of work and a lot of homework redos. I have missed a couple of classes, and it has put me way behind in my work. I'm writing this to warn you to not miss class. If you do, make sure you turn in your work on time and get the homework--no late assignments in this class. I've gone to her office hours, it and has helped!!

I'll profess I'm not very good at math, and the stuff we did was probably easy, but Professor Driskel honestly made the class harder. She seems knowledgeable about her subject, but she confuses herself as much as she confuses me. She isn't very organized in her teaching, and most of the time I was lost from the start of her lectures.

Overall, she is kind. Very clueless when explaining how to do each problem, and work is scattered all over the place in class. You receive at least 4 worksheets a class over 4 completely different topics. The TA's are clueless too. When you take her tests, most of the questions are unclear and she does a poor job explaining why you got points off.

She is very confusing, assigns way too much work to be done for homework and during classes and relies way too heavily on TAs that are essentially clueless. She definitely makes it seem that we will all be teaching a 3rd grade or above math level, yet many of us are interested in even lower grades. She is nice, but clueless. Do not recommend.

I seriously think Dr. Driskell is like the nicest lady I have ever met! She is awesome and a great teacher. She makes everything so clear and is willing to help outside of class if it is not. homework is major in this class so if u really take time on the hw u will do great! i will honestly be a better teacher because of her! plus she dresses cute

She's not as bad as the reviews says she is. She can be spacey but she is super nice and willing to help. All the homework is online, quizzes can be difficult but she drops your two lowest quiz grades at the end of the semester, and the tests are pretty easy they just check to see you have a basic understanding of the information. Not a bad class.

She doesn't come to class prepared with the material she's supposed to be teaching us. She constantly confuses herself and contradicts herself in class. She's completely spacey, and can't add numbers as easy as 12+13 in her head! How did this prof get hired, and why is she still teaching? Basically if she's the only prof available, don't take 114.

I did not like this professor at all. She is nice as a person, but as a teacher, not so great. She goes over the easy stuff in class, and then gives us the hard stuff for homework it's rediculuos. She doesn't explain thigs well in class at all. Her TA's are very rude and not helpful. She is never available to help you herself.

I think she definitely challenges you, and is always willing to help out. She always keeps the teaching perspective on top of the math we are learning, and how it might apply in our classroom. Must go to class and tests definitely need to be studied for but overall a pretty good teacher and an ok class.

Take her for 114!! it's easy! She's really nice and prepares you well for the tests. Attendance isn't mandatory but if you miss class you're not going to know what's going on because the concepts aren't stuff you've probably seen before. Take her- go to class- and get the easy A.

Good teacher. Fairly easy classes, fun problems to work through. She works at a brisk pace, but does a good job at making sure everyone is keeping up. Is available for help if needed, and is a pretty easy grader on tests. No textbooks.
