Really good at lectures! Will actively engage in the class so as long as you show up you will for sure understand the concepts. Homework is a breeze and she really gets to know and care for her students knowledge in the concepts!

Dr. Chou is an excellent professor. She is very smart, gives good lectures, and cares about her students. Instead of the book, she uses packets she designs which help you learn the material a lot easier. Take as many classes with her as you can. She helps you understand the material and you learn a lot.

She cares a lot about students and her grading is structured in a way for you to do well. She only has a few homework assignments that are very easy. Lectures is a fill in the blank packet. Tests are very fair if you study from what she gives you and if you understand what she is teaching.

She is incredibly sweet and really cares about her students and wants them to succeed. Lectures are a little long but the notes are fill-in the blank packets that are really easy to follow and understand. 80% of the tests come straight from the study guides she posts so make sure you look over them.

Comment:
Very bland lectures that you have to attend to get the "extra credit" on the exams. I feel sorry hating her for it, but she has some kind of compulsion to repeatedly ask "is this ok?" ALL LECTURE LONG. I barely can follow her lectures at all as they are extremely bland. Everyone learns to say "yes" or the whole lecture grinds to a halt.

you think she is going to be easy because the homeworks are easy and she gives you tons of extra credit for showing up but then the tests are impossible and you realize she taught you nothing... dont take

Absolutely the best economics professor at Lehigh. No professor teaches Microeconomics better than Chou. She is extremely fair with her grading policies. She is always trying to help the student by scheduling plenty of office hours or rescaling the weight of each exam. Attendance is not mandatory but she gives extra credit if you attend!

Take Chou or wait until you can. hard to understand but generally easy class if you keep up and do work. final was much more difficult, but manageable. GO TO CLASS! You get 1.5% extra credit on upcoming tests for each day you go to the class. that amounts to a 10.5% bump on each test if you go everytime, no joke. a C+ magically becomes a B+

She tries very hard to help people understand the material and sometimes ties concepts into real world examples that she has researched. Some may find her accent difficult, but she clearly cared very much about her teaching and with all of the bonus points she gives for attendance, this class was fairly easy.

A bit hard to understand, class is easily, only one 15 page paper with short presentation and short writing samples- for writing intensive it's a piece of cake. She started taking attendence after many people stopped coming. Didn't even buy the textbook. Post most lecture notes online but not the graphs.

This class is a very easy B although the lectures can be annoying at times. Professor Chou loves the subject matter but sometimes can have trouble conveying. The text book is very clear. Much more reading than a normal 300 level eco and also has a 15 page paper. One midterm and a take home final are also part of the course.

Professor Chou did not always say much during the other presentations but her own work was fascinating. Excellent articles and very interesting ideas in her obesity work. This is a topic that should be a class in itself at Lehigh. She was not always the easiest to understand but her enthusiasm carried through.
