Comment:
Professor Adams gives good feedback on your papers, especially when you go out of your way to go see him during office hours. You have to be an active participator in his class. He is very smart and funny but sometimes gets off track. I would say the tests and papers are fair, though you are only assessed on two tests and two papers.

Professor Adams is very lecture heavy and very boring. He tries his hardest to be relatable however, as an older southern man, he struggles to create fluid conversation with class. Tough grader on papers but willing to read before hand and give you critique. We picked our essay topics as well. 2 essays, mid-term & Final & 1 page HW occasionally

I'm in the Honors Section of American Literature, and it's pretty good. There are very few grades, but I walk out of every class having learned something new. Even though the class is quite boring and lecture heavy, he is very fair to us in terms of examinations and paper topics. He definitely has an enthusiasm for literature!

Very boring class, a southern professor that just talks and talks and talks. Only a few graded assignments. 2 essay's, mini free writes, mid-term and final exam. Tough grader, really wants you to think and dig deep. Prof. Adams is a very nice professor, just boring and tough grader.

Commenter who said it was torture sitting through his class is right. Brit Lit with him is hell. You need to take good notes, but even still, the quizzes are on the most minute junk he says. Pretty strict on essays, too. I slid by with a B+ after bombing a quiz or two.

Professor Adams is legitimately the best professor I've ever had. He's down to earth, funny, helpful and extremely passionate about any class you take with him (but especially brit lit). His classes are generally pretty easy too. I love, love, LOVE him.

Awesome prof! His tests are based off of the notes he gives you in class, so if you go to class and write down everything on the board, you're guaranteed to do well. He's a generous grader on papers. Likes to call on people randomly though, so make sure you do the reading.

The class was okay. He gave flexibility to what you can write about in essays and valued everyone's opinion on topics. There was a lot of politics talk in the class since i took the class around the election. It's a good class though and it isn't extremely hard to get an A- or above.

Reasonable professor. The material is dry, but there's nothing you can really do about that. Real nice guy, and is always around to help. Just approach him if you're having trouble and he'll work with you.
