You have to come to class he has amazing lectures and explains everything very well. The class is not easy the test are not easy but he does give test reviews but they are not everything you should study. I would take him over any other professor for Finc331. Print all the lecture notes at the beginning of the semester and have them for class.

Even though I got an F in his class he is a good professor, class is very hard if you don't put effort it it is obvious when your taking the tests. Don't just rely on the study guides to do well on the tests go over everything you learned in the semester.

He is HARD. Super nice guy but hard. Ridiculous amount of HW that you have to teach to yourself. He gives good preparations for exams (or so you think) But after studying for days and feeling confident I would be completly blindsighted on the exam. Mostly multiple choice but some questions had up as many as EIGHT answer choices. Good luck with him.

Dr. Beach is 1 of the worst professors I have had here at RU. He is not helpful at all and all he does is read off of a PowerPoint he didn't even make himself. He assigned a ton of homework online that he didn't go over how to do before hand. Tests are ridiculously hard and tricky. Do NOT take FINC 332 with him!

I had Dr. Beach for 331 and 332. 331 he was one of the best professors I had, he made his own notes and even did a long jump during class. But for 332 it seemed like he no longer cared. He just stood in the front of class reading from a Powerpoint he didn't even make.

Not bad. He's definitely the easiest of the finance professors, although he thinks he's not. Thinks every student that doesn't choose finance as a major is stupid. Just humor him and you'll be fine.

The hardest elective I've ever taken! Dr. Beach is a good instructor; practices what he preaches in relation to investments. (Which is rare at RU) Class project was ridiculously difficult. All assignments were weighted in an unusual manner. Take this class only if you intend to become a financial planner/advisor. Lots of busy work assigned.

He is a good professor. The class is really hard. You need to study a lot to get a B or above. You really need to pay attention to the study guides even though the test are not word for word but the problems are used to make up the test. You have to know the study guide inside and out to do a good job. Overall great professor.

He is professional and knows finance very well. If you are a finance major, take him. You will learn a lot about finance. However, if you are taking this for the required finance class, take someone else. Finance is a tough subject and he teaches like we are finance majors. Project is tough, work with a partner. Tests are hard, quizzes are easy.

He's a good teacher. Def the best for Finc331 so I've heard. He doesn't take attendance, but has a quiz every Friday. He can be a smartass sometimes too. I'd recommend him, but the class itself is tough. Barely uses the textbook.

Best Finance Professor for a Finance major.. if you are not a finance major, still a great professor, but there are easier ones like Rose that you can just skate by with.. if you are a finance major take beach because you will learn more and its not all that hard..

Beach is amazing. Take him, and no one else, for Investments. He knows his stuff and is always more than willing to help you out in a crunch. More than that, he's a great guy who really has a passion for what he does. Undoubtedly one of the best professors at Radford.

A nice guy, very into finance. Quizzes every Friday and drops a couple. If you're not good in Math, you'll feel behind b/c he doesn't always answer your questions completely -and if you keep asking, you feel dumb. If you go to his office he always helps you out. Take time on project and you'll do ok

Great teacher, willing to help with anything. If you study the notes and go to class then it should be a well earned A or B. You just have to apply yourself to learn the formulas and understand the concepts, study 15 minutes before quizzes and tests and it's self explanatory.

i had dr. beach for fin 332 & 381 and over all it was a good experince overall. homework is often challenging but it was an effective way to learn the material. strongly reccommended for the finance major.
