Susan is give or take old school. You have to take costume crafts and makeup to be employable as a performer, or tech student in general. Take the time to figure out your learning outcomes and you will not have to worry about it. A very tough grader, however won't let you fail.

Costume and makeup class is a lot of fun! Regardless of what everyone else says, she is an amazing professor. She goes somewhat fast on the sewing and makeup aspects, but she definitely makes it clear and easy to understand. We normally only meet 2 times a week instead of the 3 days it is listed. Definitely a fun class.

She is passionate about costumes and supportive of the shows going on at WCU. Don't expect her to be extremely organized, punctual or fun all the time. She does care but you have to approach her with a good attitude. She helped me beyond this course to make sure I got everything I needed for my theatre minor.

Does no one in this department have any sense of loyalty to students? This woman should never have been made department head. She is self-serving and relies to much on the advice of Mr. Ayers. If you can't make your own decisions, perhaps you shouldn't head an entire department. One of the least trustworthy people I've ever dealt with.
