Amazing teacher, can't believe how much I learned from his class. I would highly recommend taking him if you want to leave 2 hours early every meeting. Also he made SURE we know that positive X is this way >>> and positive Y is this way ^. I can't believe how much this class has helped me in my major. Definitely recommend this professor, KORENNNNN.

Would not recommend this professor. Didn't learn anything at all. Tests are impossible, half of the test is take home and the in class portion is not easy at all. We were behind several weeks and he crammed in 2 tests in the last week of school, a 3rd exam the class period before the final and final on the last day. Only finished 5 labs total.

Everyone leaves before the 2nd break. The multiple choice portion on his tests are terrible.. They're pretty much random conceptual questions. He uses power points for his lectures and they're long. We were so behind we did 2 tests in 2 weeks. needless to say, bluebooks were take home. didn't learn much from this class

Koren is not bad prof by any means. He is just super slow. We had two weeks left of the semester and we still had to learn two units and take two more exams! He was more forgiving to us than he needed to be and I feel like I didn't learn enough to transfer but at least I passed. I WANTED TO MAKE YOUR DREAMS COME TRUE PROF

PHYS 2230 was much harder than 2220 by far but I feel like Professor Koren was such a good professor that I understood it. He's an extremely fair guy. Professor Koren would be the best professor at MCC by far. Do not need the textbook because his lectures are amazing. The only thing very hard about that class was the multiple choice portion.

Professor Koren is a nice guy. Really helpful but his pace is slow as he wants everyone to understand the concepts before he moves forward. Exams consisted of take home part and multiple choice part at the beginning of the lecture. Definitely recommend him!!

Great Physics Professor, great guy, I'm so happy I got to take Physics with him instead of anyone else. He explains everything crystal clear and repeats it so you would remember. His tests are take home but 70% of it. But the other 30% is A PAIN to get (the multiple choice). If I had a choice to choose which Professor I want for any Physics it's him

This guy explains everything like 5 times, with nice pictures. Due to his in depth explinations of how Physics works, most of the Tests ended up being partially take home. Prof. Koren was one of my favorite professors, he likes to joke around with the class. No homework that was graded, just take home quizes every so often

Koren is a nice guy... But he is incredibly unorganized. Constantly makes errors during problems in class, loses labs and quizzes, and we only completed half of the chapters listed on the syllabus. He is also a very very hard grader on exams. If I had not taught myself from the book I doubt I would have even passed much less done well.

Koren is very nice. Kinda boring but I think that has more to do with the subject matter. Labs and quizzes are very easy. Tests are of moderate difficulty but most problems are variants of problems from the quizzes or notes. Basically go to class and take notes, study those examples and the problems from quizzes and you'll get an A

I had this guy for 2 classes and he started using power points this section which made his lectures less boring and easier to understand. He used to give take home open end exams, but he no longer does. He is fairly clear in his instruction, but it is essential you read the book on your own if you read the book and do the work you should be fine.

Professor Koren is extremely nice, to a fault. He is very knowledgeable and genuinely wants his students to do well, he should worry less about students who don't really care about the physics. His lectures are good, and they got even better when he moved faster, he just has to find a way to get to EM waves, because that's the best part.

He gives two breaks during his four hour sessions which are refreshing. If you do the homework, you should be fine. He gave take home exams in my class. He is kind of boring probably because of the four hour class period though. He doesn't do extra credit + he rounds down.

Professor Koren is consistently falling behind schedule. He gives two 15 minute breaks, (totaling 30 minutes of break time every lecture) for a 3 hour 25 minute lecture. We are college students, we should be able to sit still and remain attentive for this duration. Basically you only receive half of the education you are supposed to in his class.

Professor Koren is a very nice man, has a great sense of humor and is very laid back. His tests are occasionally vague and there are a few questions he never talks about nor are they in the book, but generally the class isn't real difficult. If you need a Science class I recommend taking William Koren.

The class is easy, you can't sell the book back though, the labs are easy, and if you do the practice quizzes you'll do fine. Koren himself is pretty dull though and I found myself drifting a lot.

Pretty simple, do the practice tests in the book and the real tests are a breeze. You do 12 labs, only 9 are graded. Plus you can drop your lowest 2 test grades. It's really hard to fail this class

I've never have been a science girl, but Mr. Koren was always willing to help. Attendence is mandatory, but we have 12 labs and only 9? I think are graded so you can miss classes. If you show up, listen, and do the practice texts, it's impossible to fail this class.Have book if You want to buy off me. aquarius2986@hotmail@hotmail.com $20, never used
