Favorite professor I've had. He knows what he's doing, applies what he's teaching to real life situations, doesn't take crap and gives extra credit when you catch him making a mistake. Even "messes up" to see if you're paying attention! He's totally willing to work with students who work. Also, he's super hot for a guy his age. You earn your grade

He kind of comes off as rude but is a relatively nice guy. I wold recommend keeping up with the reading and copy everything he writes on the board. He gives lots of examples but does not clearly explain certain concepts. He gives lots of extra credit so if you put forth an effort, you can get a decent grade.

I took during the summer. Lectures were horrible, not clear at all. I am ending the term with learning absolutely nothing. His teaching sucked, but he graded easy. If you need to take a chem class for no reason other then needing a chem class, then take his class. If you want to learn anything, do not take. I am going to be lost in chem 161!

Took this class Spring Quarter and loved it! Tony was awesome. He clearly knows what he's talking about and loves what he does. His sense of humor is a little different but you get used to it. The class was a little challenging for me but Tony was very willing to help me. I went out of town and he bent over backwards to help me make up labs and etc

I took Tony for Chem 121 in Summer 2014. Some people don't get or like his humor, but I found it very funny. He teaches you what you need to know, so come to class & take accurate notes and you should be fine! I had never taken high school chem and have been out of highschool for 10 years and I managed to get a 4.0

It's obvious when he lectures that he really knows and loves what he's talking about. Tests were easy as long as you actually payed attention in class and extra credit jokes are always fun.

Wasn't a fan. He was grumpy most days and others he was fun. The extra credit allowed me to get a 4.0.

Although I received a 101% in his class, he isn't very helpful and like what others say, he makes you feel like an idiot. I will not take a class ever again with him. He has lots of extra credit and I only did one extra credit thing and he gave me extra credit on everything possible to give extra credit on.

Tony is an excellent teacher; if you show up for class consistently, do all required homework, and take advantage of his more than ample amount of extra credit opportunities, there is no way that you can fail. I finished the class with a grade of 105.5%! He may be quite irreverent, but he likes cats and drinking wine. We got along just fine.

I really enjoyed this class! Tony is a great person. Sometimes his humor can be mean, but he can be really funny and makes class enjoyable. He offered lots of E.C. You need to go to class to get your notes. Notes are major, because the books wasn't used much. I also had Tony for lab, it was fun and ] directions were always clear. Recommended!

Don't Miss Class. Takes Good Notes. Tony has a barbed sense of humor a lot of younger students don't get (though not all.) If you don't "get" his dark humor, he will seem rude, but he's really not. One of my most helpful professors. if you're lost go see him in his office, very helpful. Much extra credit available. Would take for Gen Chem.

Although I passed his class easily, he was not a very nice teacher. He's like one of those math teachers that skips steps without explaining so when you have a simple question he makes you feel like an idiot for asking it and although it may be sarcastic it is rude. Wasted me $80 for the online homework. Very bad at communicating with you.

I had him for lab. He goes very fast in trying to explain concepts to the point where nobody knows what he's saying, leaving the whole class confused. He also placed extra paperwork in comparison to other lab instructors. It's not hard to pass, but not easy to ace. I wouldn't recommend him.

I would not personally recommend Tony as a teacher. He is short and rude when asking questions in lab, and does not explain thing clearly. Plan on trying to teach yourself the material. I would just avoid him if at all possible:)

Hard math class to take, but he gives tons of extra credit and cheat sheets for all tests and finals. Gives more opportunity to pass than any other teacher ever. A little rough but he grows on ya.

He's rude and does not hesitate to make fun of anyone asking questions. His class is very fast paced and would be considered quite difficult by those who don't have a good grasp of basic algebra to start. That being said, he does make every attempt to give enough extra credit that anyone can pass. SHOW UP!!! And make sure you do the extra credit
