Comment:
Professor Mayo is sweet and caring. The class itself is difficult, there are a lot of material to cover and lots of HW. But the tests problems are similar to HW. She goes over some HW problems in class. She is very generous on the grades. She tries her best to explain, but sometimes its hard to concentrate- its a 2 hr class. Overall great choice.

She responds to email fast and really helps you out. If youve taken calc before then this is easy pass. Make sure to study webassigns because they help. I never paid any attention to her lectures but i did do all the textbook hws and webassign. Webassign is mandatory but if you missed some its ok.

If you've taken calc before, this class should be fairly easy for you. She gives quizzes a week before the actual test which are based on her lectures and webassign homework. Just go over those examples beforehand and you should be fine. She's a really chill and nice professor. Always encourages you to ask questions if you need help

She's a caring teacher who makes sure her students understand what is going on. People have bene complaining saying she can't teach but those are also the students who don't ask questions or fall asleep during class (or don't even come at all). I've been intently listening this whole semester and she really is a great. Just ask questions.

She is extremely nice and very understanding. She doesn't explain some material as clearly as it could have been and there are some topics she expects you to remember from prior calc classes. However, she has no problem going over topics until you understand and loves when you ask questions.

She's very caring and always willing to help. Calc 3 is way easier than 2. She assigns HW but never checks it. Her exams are very easy if you do the practice exam and she gives a lot of partial credit. Easy A

This woman here is a math blessing! She is the kindest math professor I have ever had in my life (who knew they exist right?!). She cares about her students deeply and is extremely understanding given the whole COVID situation and made the best of online learning. Her tests are not hard at all if you just do the homework and practice.

egh soo soo. She is ineffective in teaching but somewhat lenient when it comes to grades and test difficulty weren't too bad. Mixed bag.

It is a typical math class. Cant go wrong with her. Don't expect to show up in class and just get an A. You may have to review a lot by yourself.

Calc 3 is way easier than Calc 2. Just do the homework and put the formulas on index cards and you really cannot fail. Very possible to get a B+ or higher if you practice a lot. I don't know if it's just her class or all sections but if you took Calc 2 might as well do this one too because you'll be really prepared.

She is very nice and lenient when grading. You have 3 exams and 1 final exam. She doesn't teach all the topics. She only teaches the relevant and important ones. She would only test you on what she taught. For my class, the final is non cumulative since it is early and we won't have time to study everything she taught.

She is a very nice woman, but her class is really boring. Rarely payed attention in class because i took Calculus last year. Her tests are extremely easy if you do the homework from the textbook and webassign. Homework is not mandatory. Basically if you already know calc take her if not your gonna have a very hard time

Get ready to teach yourself. Mayo doesn't explain things well & she'll just do the problem on the board so you can see how it's done WITHOUT explaining anything. Khan Academy and Patrick JMT have great videos on youtube that will teach you more & teach you enough to do well in the class. DO THE HOMEWORK! Do EVERY question! Know how to do it ALL.

An OK professor for the most part, always willing to help before and after class. Wish she was more enthusiastic about teaching. She runs through problems from WebAssign and the textbook, but doesn't explain the beauty behind what she was teaching, just mentions how it "comes up in business." Exams are straightforward, generous w/partial credit.

Never took calc before and had this class. She is frazzled and sometimes overcomplicates things, but she does finish everything on time and gives back tests on time. If you go for help, SHE WILL HELP YOU. One-on-one is more helpful than just being in the lecture. She's nice and not too bad. If u have any calc experience you should get an A!

I hated this class. When we asked her to show us how to solve problems from HW or classwork, she'd get snippy b/c she had to do the extra work. She DOES offer help, but she gets distracted & gets fussy & then annoyed. What a horrible math teacher. You have to teach yourself.

Prof. Mayo is an amazing math teacher! Homework is essential, but the exams are much easier than the homework. She also really cares about her students and her class is really straightforward. I highly recommend taking her if you can.
