One if he nicest professors Ive had. She lets you do revisions which is great for essays. She is caring and theres really no excuse to not get a A in her class. She does give a lot of homework and reading. The reading can be alot but manage your time and you should be fine. Be on top of your assignments overall.

Professor Alessi is extremely nice and will always be willing to help you. She allows for revisions on your writing and prepares students a lot for papers and assignments. It was easy to skip class and assignments occasionally and still get a good grade as long as you do the major papers and homework. Reading every night and quizzes every class.

She is very kind and understanding. She offers many extra credit opportunities, though because she is busy with her other classes she takes a while to get your essays back to you. Makes it a little difficult to improve your next one. Overall she was an awesome professor, just be prepared to write every week and read articles for class discussions.

Where to begin with this. She takes forever to grade journals and essay's. She will talk endlessly about the mistakes she is noticing the class make but no one has a clue what she is talking about. Theres no point to attend class except for a easy ass quiz, the rest of the time is spent with busy work. Readings are extremely LIBERAL.

I had a great semester in her class. Shes a passionate teacher and she will sure make you think and laugh. I had a great time and shes not tough on grading; shes reasonable and will work it out with you, whatever it is.

Her expectations are clear. She gives a lot of work but its doable if you manage your time. Not hard but very time consuming. She does however, take FOREVER to grade papers and give feedback. She is also not very good at emailing in a timely manner.

She is kind of slow with getting back with emails, but other than that she is super nice and helpful. This class is not hard, just put time aside to actually work on the assignments and you will pass. She is not a hard grader, which is awesome.

Great English Professor. Allows you to correct mistakes on papers. Daily quizzes. Lots of group discussion on readings. She will make you a good writer if you put in the work.

Expect ALOT of writingreading but it is Eng 1B! Hits you hard for MLA on papersjournals but you can get lost points back if you do revisions. Initially was upset about that but realized it made me more aware of my mistakes & revised. She takes a long time to grade which was frustrating. But over all great prof. I am a far better writer now.

This is by far the worst English class I have ever taken. Mostly nonsense assignments & busy work. Provides terrible feedback with attitude. We started with a class 50, and by the end of the semester we had 9 students left. Gives nonsense grades, and to get a grade above a C you must work like there no tomorrow on nonsense.

Most horrific experience. Provides nonsense feedback and gives arbitrary grades. The syllabus plus the weekly introductions amount to about 60 pages, the amount of busy work and boring readings is mind boggling. She is hard grader that gives you feedback 4 weeks after you turn in your essay, very disorganized and a slave driver! Don't take her!

The queen of busy work. For English 1B, there are too many assignments. Her Blackboard is setup like a spider web, hard to find everything. Tough grader, will chop 30% for just margins. Gives feedback late, and every week she gives you 2000 word plus (introduction for the busy work that she requires). Unless you have no life, don't take her.

Took Eng 1B Online. Lots of articles to read over the course, short quizzes on them every week, 10 journals total, 4 essays. Last one was 8 pgs. Very clear instructions at beginning of each week of what is expected. Very helpful, quick feedback! Takes awhile to grade, but overall easy for an advanced english class! :) Would recommend for sure. :)

Fantastic teacher. I was enrolled in her summer critical thinking course and although it was fast-paced, the content of the class itself was very interesting. She lets the class discuss amongst themselves which is a useful approach and limits constant lecturing. No one should be complaining about this teacher. Just read and do the work.
