she is friendly and funny, but not good teacher to teach math. Also, she is usually makes mistakes on the bord.. the best thing in her class is (10 points extra) if u attend 5hours in math help center.

The math department needs an overhaul, badly. I sat towards the front of the class, and still could not hear a word she was saying. She chastised us for figuring problems out before her, or for asking questions about the many mistakes she made on the board. Avoid her at all costs.

This is by far the worst professor I have ever had. She constantly makes mistakes on the board, which confuses many people in the class. When letting her know that you don't understand the material, she looks at you like you're the dumbest person for even asking that question. She gives you the hardest way for solving a problem. worst teacher ever

If I would not of learned the stuff she's teaching now I would probably not understand anything. She isn't very clear and her methods to solving different problems are extensive. Nice person, but not the best teacher. I sent an e-mail one time and she never responded. Also,she seemed to have a hard time explaining the material. She does have office hours and is willing to help anyone who comes. Overall, if you are good at math, then the class may not be too bad. If not, then I wouldn't recommend this teacher.

Comment:

Just finished with Ms. Douglas. As a person she is very sweet and is accomodating to real-world schedule changes that may arise, but her teaching ability is not as clear / proficent as it used to be. Online homework is helpful, and provides videos to aid in understanding of the increasingly difficult material. Overall, I recommend her.

This teacher is useless! if you want to graduate dont take dora douglas. she gives you dumb looks when you ask for help, students have to constantly correct her and help other students cause she doesnt know how to help, she marks things wrong for no reason and she uses webassin for online homework. DONT TAKE THIS TEACHER!!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

Just finished this class with Dora. Overall it is not a horrible class. Homework is online. Test are not god awful. She randomly does quizzes and one or two in class assignments but attendance is not mandatory. She is older and tends to make a lot of mistakes on the board which can be confusing. Try to avoid but if you can't its very doable.

Ms. Douglas makes the class very confusing because she makes a lot of mistakes. Students were correcting her constantly. She never e-mailed me back when I had questions. I relied on the math learning center a lot, without it, I wouldn't understand it. I DO NOT recommend this professor. She just needs to retire.

Dora is awesome! She teaches everything that's going to be on the tests and she teaches are a good speed. There are times when she writes a problem wrong on the board, but who doesn't make mistakes? If you're having trouble, she is always in her office and loves helping students. I recommend her if you if you learn math easily.

Worst Professor I've had in my life. I was a good math student in high school but even the easiest concepts are hard to understand with her. She makes you use methods that are unnecessary and aren't in the book. Makes way too many mistakes. Do not take math with this professor.

She will not help you at all and she has no idea what she is talking about. Do not take her! I have never got a B in a math class in my life and i had to drop hers because we got a test one day and hadnt learned any of the things on it! AVOID DORA!

Avoid at all costs. Very mistake prone in her examples and doesn't explain things very well. If you can teach yourself and math isn't much of a problem, you should be able to survive. Exams are relatively difficult and you never know what assignments she takes in as homework. As there are few graded assignments, it is hard to bring grade up.

DO NOT TAKE DORA DOUGLAS FOR ANYTHING. This teacher has seen better days and needs to retire. She is the worst teacher I've ever had in 14 years of schooling. She makes more mistakes while solving problems than the students. I found myself correcting her frequently in MTH128 She can be nice sometimes; however most of the time she is grumpy BAD
