This professor was absolutely horrible. Literally nuts. Me and my friends have spent hours upon hours studying for this class and we still do not understand the information. So much studying for a GE. She takes her class way to seriously. Don't get up to throw anything out, go the bathroom, or sneeze. Don't take this class, it is a nightmare.

This teacher was out of control. she was completely not comprehensive to the students. You have to know vast amount of info for 1 test and the grading is out of control with only 3 tests only graded. Dont Get Up. Dont Throw anything away. DONT BREATHE! You'll Get In Trouble.

She is very enthusiastic about her work and she knows the material extremely well. However, she does not like to stop her lecture for anything, & I would recommend turning your phone off before class or you're gone. As long as you pay attention and study a decent amount you should do pretty well.

Ok, to everyone who says "read the textbook" or whatever is obviously sucking up to this teacher..she takes everything way too seriously and will stop the class to stare at someone throw out a tissue in a trash can 4 feet away..shes NOT a good teacher, grades unfairly and talks to you like you're the most inferior form of life on the planet.

Before this class, I hated and despised ancient sculpture and architecture. It took Dr. Wisch about 3 weeks to turn my views 180 degrees. Now, when I see art, I love and appreciate it...and I owe it all to her. Take an art history class with her. You will not be sorry.

This was one of my harder classes, which I didn't expect because it's art history. She really loves the material she teaches, which makes it more interesting because she knows a lot of information. However, she also expects you to know all of that same info when it comes to the tests. Needs to know a ridiculous amount of specifics

Everyone that says this class is great... clearly read the 500 page textbook everyday b/c it has nothing to do with her being a good teacher. Even if you attend class, take notes, read material and do homework she will treat you like your a total idiot. She was a nightmare! Do no ever take this class you will regret it!

Dr Wisch is a very intelligent woman that you could learn so much from. She is a tough teacher, but isn't that what you are at school for? To get an education? Seriously, those who are upset that the class is hard, they need to grow up and realize they are in college and mommy isnt here to make everything better. Grow a pair and read a book.

she is a bit crazy, but as long as you go to the lectures and take notes youll do fine. she does only give 3 tests and then a final, but its easier that way, no papers no quizzes. she really is a nice lady but very old fashioned, and if you go to her she will help you! take her if you are really into art history shes deff worth it

Do not take this class. The class is only graded by three tests that are ridiculously hard. She does not take attendance but if you miss a class your screwed. She doesn't offer any extra help and expects everyone to be able to memorize every single thing in the book and from lecture. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!!!

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT TAKING THIS CLASS. fills a GE, but seriously its ridiculously hard. I have gotten a B on each test, but thats only because I crammed and studied extremly hard before the test. It is a 100 level class, and she treats it like a 400 level. It is interesting stuff, but the things you need to know for the tests are near impossible

Do NOT take this class with Wisch. She covers so much material on the history behind works of art,which is what the class should be about, and it is all very fascinating, but when it come to the tests, it is all about dates, patrons, original location, centuries of the work of art, ect. There is almost nothing on the actual history of the art.

The amount of material she requires you to remember is disgusting. The material is interesting but the amount is ridiculous. She's a nice lady (except during tests in which she's prone to yell at you for asking her a question). Go to her for help or discuss something with her and she'll love you. Grades are curved.

i took her during my first yr. and dropped it. even though the clas itself requires time and a great deal of studying. she gives no reviews, she loves to hear herself talk, looks at you like you a helpless puppy if you dont understand. and i would recommened Richiards. dont take this you dont need it or you will wish you never had Wisch.

Basically, she'll teach you a crap load of material on the art work, which can be very interesting at times. However, after she pounds all this material in your head, she grades you on dates. Everyone in the class tries to figure out some way to keep a heavy amount of random numbers in their head...it kinda sucks.

She puts vocab words up on the screen and just shows you slides the whole class of art that you have to memorize a ton of information about. She won't give help at all.
