Comment:
His lectures were very straightforward and contained almost all of the information needed for the exams. I liked how he used Tophat to make the lectures more interactive, and it also counted for a grade. The workload for the course was very manageable and I found that the recitations were helpful with preparing for the exams.

Professor Krueger can be very dry when delivering his lectures, but he tries his hardest to make some of the more tedious subjects interesting. The exams are a mixed bag- the MC is very straightforward, while it can be tough to know what to expect for the essay/short answer questions. Recitations are not overly useful, but attendance is required.

Kruegar was a good professor, really lecture heavy and can be a little boring at times but should go to class to pass the exams. Only 3 exams through the semester and they're pretty easy.

Prof. Krueger has made my first semester tolerable. His lectures are never a waste of time, and his humor and kindness make him a real gem. He even was the reason I decided on a Poli Sci minor. He's a wicked cool dude and very accessible if you need him. Recitations are unnecessary, but not that big of a deal considering the minimal work required

Overall an easy class if you show up, attendance is mandatory, and read the book. Lectures are easy to understand as he uses slideshows and tests are relatively fair. 3 exams none of which are cumulative. Recitations are a little unnecessary and have quizzes based on the book.

Comment:
Overall he is not a bad professor so if this is a gen ed not a bad choice. He is pretty laid back and has a dry sense of humor and is very middle ground politically which is a bit interesting in a class that is about politics. Lectures aren't awful even if the topic is a bit dry. Exams are usually scaled . Recitation is boring w/ weekly book quiz

I would recommend him to any student. If you are taking a required class that is a bit dry, he helps the class get through it. If you are taking a more in depth class, he gets more into it and gets the class into it. He encourages his students to form their own opinions as long as they can back them up.

If he's enthusiastic about his work, he makes it awfully hard to tell. Look at the students who are dying of boredom in his class! His teaching style is not engaging, but to counteract at, he has pop quizes. He's probably easy, but I've had way better!!! I wish there were an alternative teacher.

God awful class. Lecture attendence isn't mandatory but you're screwed if you don't go. Dumbed down material. You learn the statistics he uses in like second grade. He sounds like Kermit, which makes his lectures even more unbearable. HIS MIDTERM WAS BULLSHIT. He writes his tests to be curved...not so that students can pass. TAs do all the work.

Real chill guy who is knowledgeable and clearly interested in his work and his students. His classes aren't overwhelming and he creates a relaxing environment to learn. Interesting to listen to, and he successfully tries to incorporate different teaching methods so everyone can walk away with something.

I really enjoy taking his classes, takin two now, it is the same format every time. two wirten exams in the beginning than two papers. Dont learn a whole lot just enough to scrap by on the papers. I usually actually bomb the written tests, but he is very flexible on the papers. good teacher whom seems to really care bout his students

if krueger is teaching it, i'll sign up for it. course load is not demanding,a mid term and a final paper. Do the readings and you should get an A. unfortuntaely the 100 pages of notes you take for the mid term are useless since all the Q's are from the readings. after the mid term you dont even need to take notes anymore. great guy!

He knows how stupid most of the kids are in the poli sci dept so he dumbs down everything. He knows his stuff, but he knows that he just needs to get thru the class. Take him if u want an easy A the class is a joke

Krueger is easy. You will not learn tons of stuff. But what you do learn you will remember. I remember more from his class, and the things that I have leared from his class have helped me out more thus far than in many other Poly Sci classes at URI. Worth it unless you want a challenge
