Will e-mail you around 7-10 times per week for additional assignments, correcting his work, and giving out assignments that pertain to watching Free MIT videos and Kahn Academy. He's not good at explaining information, and does not really seem too enthused about teaching either. If I would've known what I know now, I wouldn't have taken his class.

Bad class... He's a very nice guy but has a way of making you forget everything you've ever learned. Relies too heavily on Khan Academy videos. Would not recommend.

I am a math major and if you need to take any math class at 200+ you should take it with him. His class is very slow moving and very easy. He is easy to talk to at office hours and explains things fairly well. You have to do a lot of self teaching but that is how a lot of math classes are in college. Great professor I would recommend.

Did not know this class was going to be an online class. The professor assigns MIT open source videos to watch and homework. When you come back into class a few days later he asks if there is any question. When you have a question he gets a classmate to try and answer your question. Did not match my style of learning very well and I struggled.

Only take this class if you are good at teaching yourself stuff. Or have a friend for help. A lot of work is online, and can be done a billion times. You could show up turn in your homework and get the new assigment and pass with an A. He quizes you every Friday and there are 3 test including the final.

I had him for calc five years ago. I took it pass/fail, and I didn't pass. I don't think he taught it well. I think Dr. Wu would do a better job.

A professor who is truely loves what he teaches. If you don't understand it's because you haven't gone to him for help. He's ALWAYS available to help you when you need it.

He's a great person but not the greatest instructor. Most times it takes him awhile to get his point across which can be boring. But he's very willing to help you if you had any questions. His tests/quizzes are easy but they carry a lot of weight. Apparently your homework is the same way so be sure to do it because the TAs can be hard graders.

yeah, he was a little unclear, but no one can say he doesn't like his subject or his students. he was always willing to take extra time to help..plus his quiz grades counted a lot, so as long as you did okay on them you could get by without having to do fantastic on the cumulative test, he did prepare you for the quizzes

~Okay, when I decided to review trig and pre-cal I thought I would learn something I didn't know before. Seeing as how my last prof. didn't do math justice. Well... I was wrong. There was no new material covered, what was covered was often jumbled and it's meaning destroyed by Dorner's lack of concentration. I left the class disappointed.
