This woman does not even know what she is talking about. All she does is to divide us into breakout rooms without explaining anything. DO NOT take her if you want to understand the materials.

This is a self taught class. Dont expect much from her. Do as many problems as you can and get a solution manual or chegg. Tests can be tough, but she curves.

Comment:

The biggest advice I would give future students is that this course is pretty much self taught. Don't expect much out of her video lectures. Watch her videos, read the book and PRACTICE AS MANY PROBLEMS AS YOU CAN.

By far THE WORST Professor I have ever had! Not only is she rude in class, she is not capable of answering questions on the spot. She can only answer questions using her solution method, IF she has her hand written solution with her. Not to mention her notes are normally incomplete, resulting is more confusion because she cant solve her own probs.

I loved her class and teaching style, but it's not for everyone. She has video lectures that you are required to watch prior to scheduled class time, and she occasionally likes to sneak in a hw problem at the end of the video. Her class definitely required a lot of work. You will not pass if you do not put in the effort to solving problems.

Overall the material is easy. However, you wont get much from the lectures. I went and sat in the back and made better use of my time. Gave the excuse "I know everything about bacteria but not thermo" when she couldn't answer questions. She berates students then complains about her workload. If she doesn't like her job, maybe she should leave.

doesn't actually lecture, just spews formulas and gives out practice problems. test study guides and sample problems usually have NOTHING to do with the actual test problems that she gives out.

This professor is one of the worse professors I ever had. Attendance is not graded and not mandatory, but if you're late often or miss too many lectures, you will be placed on her back list, and she never forgets! She takes everything personal and grades people on homework and presentation on a subjective way based on whether she likes you or not.

She isn't helpful at all . The only thing she does is barks out formulas and doesn't tell you what they are used for. If you are great at memorizing every example in the book you will be ok. Otherwise,best of luck....

This professor started off with good lectures and clear notes. However the quality of her lectures degraded very quickly towards the second half of semester because she skimmed notes instead of explaining key concepts and SHOWING how to do problems. Thermo is difficult, book is not helpful and neither is this professor. ADVICE: Study with friends.

Probably the worst teacher to teach CHE 115. Class is really not worth going to because she regurgitates the book. She cannot follow any problem solving logic other than her own, so don't bother asking for help, unless you did the problem her way. Best advice, STUDY the chapters and do problems. Get the solutions manual and practice on your own.

She is very clear and concise. I have no molecular biology backgrond but she makes things seem so easy. I really liked her teaching style......There is lot of student participation. I think she really enjoys what she is doing. Great job!!!!! Keep up the good work. We need more teachers like you in San Jose State.....

I took this class 3 years ago, I still can't stop talking about this instructor. Awesome teacher, great teaching style. If you don't learn from her, you won't learn from anyone. Very cool, humorous. For the first time is SJSU history a clear concise teacher. She actually wants to teach!!!!

I have had this instuctor for many classes, The one word that best discribes her is a bubble head, When I had her for thermodynamics she accussed the class of having smelly feet, I hav also heard her profess that she would lie to student if she did not know the answer to their questions. She is an extremely moody teacher. Make sure you buy a stapler or she'll scream at you and send you emails. She treats the people who score well better than those who dont. She's not helpful and makes you feels like an idiot at office hrs, so don't go.

She's a really nice person if you get to know her. I enjoyed socializing with her AFTER I'd gotten through thermo.
