Comment:
Took this class and dropped. Class is very uninterested, people were constantly correcting him, gives no homework, all his weekly quizzes are cumulative, as well as his tests. Hardly learned anything at all, his lectures are very sloppy, and he sometimes gets off topic. His entire class is all over the place.

If you're not willing to put your 300%, don't take him. He's a nice guy but not cut out for teaching. Had a 30+ students in first class and at the end, there was less than half. There's no homework and no curve. 8 quizzes, 4 tests and 1 final, and they're all cumulative. I used 4 notebooks for this class. Got an A. Study on your own. Trust me.

Although professor David Jones is an interesting person, with lots of interesting topics to discuss, his teaching skills are not his forte. His lectures are all over the place, and his notes are simply a regurgitation of problems without much explanation. I unfortunately had to withdraw from his class. He gives quizzes and tests very often.

Comment:
Took him for 107, and he is a legend for horrendous teaching. He stopped assigning homework after chapter 2, and none of his lectures were cohesive at all because he's a scatterbrain. If he says something won't be on the test, it will be. If he says something will be, it won't. Jones is a teacher with no consistency, and that makes a bad teacher.

I took AP Calc in high school, so I understood the material, but he's poor at lecturing. He just copies examples from the book that you can read yourself. Tests are pretty straightforward, like HW. Since you have a lot of quizzes, hw, and tests, you don't to worry about one bad score bringing you down. If you wanna learn, I don't recommend him.

Comically bad at teaching, but he has a genuine interest in the material. Grade is based on exams and quizzes, which comparatively are really easy and straight from the homework. He would cut out material from the course if he deemed it too difficult or didn't remember how to solve it himself.

Honestly he's the only professor I took and got a bad grade. He doesn't teach, doesn't even use the book, the whole book is a fair game on the test. Seriously, I don't even know how he got hired. His lectures are so off, I have no clue what he was talking about 95% of the time. Take it with someone else and save your GPA.

Jones is AWESOME! This is the second time I take him. The first class was Calc 1 and took him again for Calc 3. Jones is possibly the easiest calc professor there is. Yes he might give quizzes/tests every week but this means you can really buff your grade before the final if you do well consistently. Be prepared to teach yourself though.

He's not as bad as people say that he is. You have to do the homework. You cannot pass without doing any homework. He is available almost always when you need to speak to him. He is very fair; anything in the textbook is fair game.

His lectures are confusing and useless. His quizzes and tests can be pretty challenging. They dont have many problems, but he sometimes chooses difficult questions for them. You HAVE to be willing to learn the material on your own. I self-studied the entire semester and was able to pass, but I had to work for it. As of this post, 78% - 89% is a B.

he does't have any clue of the material called calculus, doesn't know how to solve problems makes at least 5 mistakes on average on each problem. test or quiz every week, pointless to go to class, get ready to teach yourself over internet. don't waste time going to lecture and study on your own.

Professor Jones is one of the easier calculus professors at GCC. However, because of his lecture structure(there is no structure) you are left to learn the material on your own. His tests are easier than other professors but seem more difficult because many students are ill prepared. Expect to learn on your own!!!

Terrible, terrible teacher. He is always ill prepared and his lecture ends you up more confused about the subject. You'ld be better off learning from YouTube. I swear that's how I pass. Avoid at all cost!!

Worst professor I've EVER had. Terrible at explaining key concepts. Going to class is pointless because you will learn nothing, but there are quizzestests every week. If you take this professor, be ready to learn on your own and be sure to set aside a lot of time for it

Worst professor/teacher I ever had in my entire life. Extremely lazy at teaching. He just copies the formulas off the book onto the board and moves on. Doesn't even provide an explanation on anything. BLATANTLY admits that he's clueless on the material, makes mistakes daily, tries to avoid working out difficult problems. Plus he suffers from hubris

He's an absolutely horrible teacher.Handwriting sucks, horrible at explaining too Makes mistakes, doesn't even correct them when pointed out.If learning just from the book isn't easy for you, don't take this teacher.Tests are accumulative which means irrelevant to what you just covered, you simply won't learn math with him. DON'T TAKE THIS TEACHER!!!!!
