He is a very kind and fun person to be around. I think that the Cougar marching band would definitely not be the same without Don! He really makes the environment a great place to be and if you are joining marching band, he is the marching band instructor to have! "A polished toilet is still a toilet!"

It's amazing to see the sunset comments from way back in 2004 and everyone still gets excited for them in 2009! Don is such a sweet man and he really has our best interest at heart. He really makes the whole marching experience fun! Love him!

Don is the bomb. The CMB reminded me that field shows could be fun and crowd-pleasing. Winning bands in high school had to be walking symphonic bands and I hated that. I took his Marching band Fundamentals class also; I had a great time and learned tons from it , as well.

Don Hower is one of the best band directors a group could get. Down-to-business and never settling for less than our best, he manages to only stay serious for "about 30 seconds". Can't wait for this year's 'sunset speech'

You should consider yourself lucky to have Don Hower as the Marching Band Director. He has a great background (Ohio State, Pittsburg, Temple) and is probably the most approachable professor around. He's got a tough shell, but you'll find yourself calling
