Comment:

This class gives you real-world investment experience. No exams, each student gives two short presentations each month on a stock/ETF to invest in then the class as a whole discusses the suggestions and votes on each. It's an easy A but an interesting class.

Comment:

Professor Kahl is a pretty good professor. He gave us three projects that were relevant to the course (Investments) and seemed to know what he was talking about. The tests have almost nothing to do with the book so pay attention in lecture and study his slides. I didn't learn a ton but he's a nice guy and it was an easy A.

Comes off as crass, opinionated, and at times downright ignorant. Seems to care little about his subject matter. Gave a test where three of the questions were duplicates. Makes some interesting points at times, but for the most part is uninspiring. Literally puts the minimal amount of effort possible into his lectures and grading. Easy grade.

Its a good class, but it could have been much more beneficial- the tests are retarded - they have nothing to do with what we go over in class. Big curve at the end, but you have no idea where you stand throughout the semester. I wish there was more of a focus on what was going on today, not what happened in the 80's

Dr. Kahl is one of the few professors that stand out in my mind from Akron. Great guy, teaches in very practical terms.

Dr. Kahl is a shining jewel at UA Finance. He boils everything down into understandable, usable, excellent material. I wish I had him for all my classes. Not easy -- but fair. I learned a lot from him!!! I USE his material in my career! That is the true test of a good class and professor!!!

Ummmm, probably the coolest teacher there is. And, quite frankly, if you pay attention and do the reading you'll learn a TON. I'm a horrible finance student and his class is really interesting and makes sense!! He's awesome, very real and very easy to talk to. He's always willing to help!!!!

The absolute worst instructor I have ever had. You will learn nothing in his course. I think he believes he is doing his students a favor by makiing his class an easy A. Or maybe he just can't be bothered with actually teaching.
