I had a Thursday night jumbo class with him. Unfortunately our class size was HUGE, so the majority of the class was hearing other students presentation every week. When he gets talking, he is hilarious and loves discussion in class. Participation is a must both speaking and showing up. Awesome, hilarious and a little nutty! But has experience!

Comment:

Dr. Ernst worked for Sony for many years and has a lot of great insight to give. Classes are discussions rather than lectures. He teaches in a way that creates real value for someone going into the world of business. He's also a great mentor.

Comment:

Tests are somewhat difficult, must take good notes and study. Several big assignments: get industry analysis done ASAP, sales presentation is a piece of cake, fast grader. Lectures are not too boring and he brings in guest speakers a lot. I would take this class again. He loves to tell stories, sweet older guy.

It's a shame that Dr. Ernst is retired. He is one of the best professors I have had during my college career. The knowledge he has from years of experience is unsurpassed and his stories are great! His assignments are worth a large % of your grade, but are extremely beneficial if taken seriously. Amazing guy who truly cares about his students.

This guy is terrible. He gives bad grades when disagrees with subjective responses, does not give a sense of support to his students and it is obvious that he is not actually concerned with anyones future, he just fakes it. Its fine if you dont care, but dont pretend.

Great guy and great course! So many stories and interesting things to say. Likes to challenge students but if you keep up with assignments, it is not a hard class to pass. He wants everyone to succeed!

Pretty boring class. Be very careful about emailing your reaction papers because chances are he wont respond and you likely would not get a credit. Prof has a tendency to interrupt during presentations and not let you talk... eager to humiliate. If you have a choice invest $2500 with someone else.

This professor talks from the moment the class begins until the end, and unless you interrupt him he won't stop. Professor wont give you C in this class, ( A's and B's only ) however if he reads from your discussion papers anything that disagrees with his beliefs and views, expect a lower grade.

Ernst is a solid professor. His best attribute is that he spent decades in the fields he teaches. His experience is priceless. However, he relies too much on the text book. He was very encouraging.

HILARIOUS! Dr. Ernst is a funny ol' guy who is genuinely interested in you as a person. He's great! He's tough, but so interesting, he's always available and laughs at himself a lot. He also has a lot of outside knowledge to relate to the classroom. One of the BEST I've had.
