Professor Rabinowitz was great. His lectures are always interesting, and he is able to make the information relatable and simple while seeming very knowlegdable. If you read everything you are assigned (or almost everything) you should get an A.

I'm sorry if you have to take this class. The material is not hard, but he makes it hard to make an A. There is a great deal of discrepancies between the TAs and grading, which really stinks. I was a Political Science major before, but this class made me switch. Read the textbook and Gucci Gulch extremely well if you want a chance at an A or B.

Smart guy. Entertaining to listen to his voice- makes getting up to go to class worth it. Liberal but he does not show it too much. Gucci Gulch is interesting if you like politics. Relies heavily on TAs.

Great professor who tried to make the class interesting. There were some dull parts in lectures, but if you go to every lecture and look at the book you should be fine. Your grade is at the mercy of your TA so good luck. Gucci Gulch was awful but Woodward's book was great. Definitely knows what he is talking about.

Very very smart professor..knows very much about poli sci. Class itself is a tad rigid...you must read the textbook and the books assigned in class to do well...TA's are a tad hard too, but overall the information was interesting, tests are all short answer/essays..have to write 2 essays based on two books..beware of Gucci Gulch!

He loves to confuse students with his infamous prisoner's dilemma?s and weird math to explain easy stuff. He also uses old projection slides, which nobody can copy on time, and he doesn?t even post them online. The second book, Showdown at Gucci Gulch, is dreadfully boring. Take the honors section (smaller) or the online (no drama) instead.

Class is in my major, but hated it so much it made me want to change. He comes in and talks about whatever he feels like, then asks tests questions from the book only. TA's grade the tests hard. Completely terrible

this man is great, very funny and smart. He is smart as hell--he is the creator of one of the two main theories on public voting habits. He is liberal but teaches objectively. GO TO CLASS AND TAKE NOTES. Study the past midterm exams that he posts way in advance, and you will do fine. Good class.

condescending and a real jerk... talks down to you for asking questions that he thinks should be obvious... lectures straight from the textbook generally, so class is rather boring

There was not a single multiple choice exam--all essay and very detailed and specific short answer questions that must be perfect for full credit. If you put the time in (a lot of time), its an easy A because its straight memorization of definitions and old exam answers.

Rabinowitz's lectures are easy to understand. However, your grades weighs almost completely on your TA. Take very good notes and make sure to review them and the textbook very thoroughly for tests. If you put enough time, an A or B is easy to earn.

fairly intensive class. Must attend lectures as he uses these and the book to a detailed extent on his tests. several books to read and two papers. just go to class and read the books and it's an ok class. George really knows his stuff

If you go to lecture and take notes, read the book, and then use both to study for the exams you will do fine. you do have to study but previous tests are given out, and there are a few books you have to read with paper that are graded pretty hard.

Great guy, good class. Lectures can be a little long sometimes, but Rabinowitz is pretty funny so it's not hard to stay awake. Personally, I took a lot away from the class. Read the exams on blackboard, read your notes, read the online summaries and you'll do fine on tests-they are pretty easy.

His lectures are interesting, but tests are hard. If he gives you a list of stuff to study for the tests, do it it will be there. Also don't underestimate the exams from previous semesters on blackboard, several times I've seen questions verbatim on my exams. Overall ok class, take good notes read the chapters
