Comment:
Lecture heavy and their boring and or confusing usually. The content of the class is easy to understand but he puts things in an odd order. Reading responses due every class but their only 100 words. Test are easy if you payed any attention. He is a nice guy but I would only take him in a focused THEO course, not an entry level one.

Comment:
Professor Schlabach should not have this low of a score. He is a very good professor. If you just do the assignments in his class you will be fine. You don't really need to do all the readings. His tests are a little hard but you can do bad on them and still get a good grade in the class. He is a really nice guy and will help you outside of class.

He is a very boring teacher. He seems clueless at times when it comes to what he is teaching. If people say they like him, it's because he's easy to make fun of. Tests are easy for the most part, and he grades with no effort. No feedback, and gives you a worthless grade. You don't need to pay attention to his nonsense monologues.

Worst class I have ever take. Not at all what anyone thought "global Christianity" would be about. Like 200 pages of reading before each class. Class readings have no correlation to the papers you write. He is horrible at giving feedback. Don't have much more to say other than, never take any class from him unless you life depends on it.

Dr. Schlabach is a very chill and laid-back guy. Personally, I found his lectures to be fairly entertaining too (it'll help if you actually do the readings so you can participate in the discussions). He is a fair grader when it comes to papers and his tests are very straight forward. Would recommend to get the general out of the way.

the most boring class I have ever taken in my life. class is highly geared toward people who are from the Christian faith, if you are not the class is very confusing. 2 major papers throughout the semester and two tests. papers are easy to bull through but tests are almost impossible. he doesn't give out any clues as to what it will be on.

If you give Professor Schlabach a chance, you will love him and theology. He really cares about his students and his class. In Theo 101 we had two essays, two quizzes, and two tests which were all fairly easy. There's daily homework and a lot of reading and writing, but also extra credit, and if you put in the time and effort it really pays off.

I have always thought that Schlabach is a very nice guy. I never really had a problem with him in that sense. He is a tough grader though and makes you work for it. His lectures are long and boring, which makes the class suck and there is a lot of reading. If you can avoid him, try to, but he is a good guy and he's not impossible to work with.

Lectures are so flipping boring and he's all over the place. I had no idea when to take notes. He goes off on tangents that make everything confusing. I was never interested in Theology in the first place and now even less so. 010 would recommend.

Gerald Schlabach or Ger-Bear is one of the most condescending human beings I have ever met in my entire life. If you do not agree with what he has to say or challenge his opinion, he will not be happy. He is a harsh grader and will probably be your least favorite prof at UST. His tattoo is stupid.

Really not a tough class, we got a reading every day and all we ever had to turn in was a note card on the writing, other then that we had 2 papers, a midterm and final test. Geralds not a bad professor but his lectures can feel like they take forever in a tuesday thursday class

He is very knowledgeable, but he didn't communicate that knowledge in a way that held my interest or made me passionate about the subject. There is a fair amount of reading, but the majority of the grade rests on the midterm, final exam, and two 3-5 page essays, which are graded rather harshly.

Such a boring class. Harsh grader on papers. Lots of pointless online homework. Lots of reading. Stubborn teacher, who continues lecturing on topics he knows no one is interested or cares about. Always teaches to the last minutes of class, sometimes goes over. Boring, boring boring.

If you operate on at the intelligence level of a second grader, you might get something out of this class. Otherwise I would recommend bringing a pillow.

I feel kind of bad for him because it's pretty obvious how bored the whole class is. Unclear, rambling lectures, easy homework, some reading, a few papers that aren't too bad, tests are impossible to study for because he's so unclear. I used to be interested in theo and morality but he's killed that for me. A nice guy, but just take someone else.

Random quizes throughout the semester. Did not have any structure to the class or lectures. Was extremely hard to take notes and therefore study for exams.

Comment:
This prof does not like you if you do not agree with any of his teachings. Your grade seemed to be based off of whether he liked you or not, not the content of your work. Extremely biased and I would NEVER take another class taught by him.
