I really enjoyed DAW for Songwriter with Ivan. Before taking his class, I knew very little about recording with Pro Tools. Ivan is very knowledgable, and was great at explaining concepts of recording with such clarity, such as how compressor works. I want to take class with Ivan again. The best ever......... Sever

As a songwriter I dont really have to know what a compressor does, but Ivans simple explanation was the best I ever heard. Thanks to him I finally get it. I learned something new because I wanted to learn. When people take this only because its required and not because they care about the subject, the problem is their attitude. Ivan rocks!

The problem in this class is that the other kids don't take care of their laptops, don't buy an external drive (which is required) to save 100 bucks, and watch youtube videos in class instead of working on the projects. Then they blame the teacher and Pro Tools for being bad. GROW UP and do what he tell you to!

Nice guy, patience of a saint but didn't formally "teach" us much of anything. Chose a few random things to go over in class, then expected us to know everything about protools for the tests and projects. No study guides or clear explanations. I begged him for a study guide for the midterm, to no avail. Avoid if you can, but nobody else teaches 161

Great guy. Class is a great environment, well-paced and relaxing. UNDERSTANDS the core concepts of audio, and you will learn a lot in his course.

This former stereo installer has no idea what he's talking about. He misunderstands basic concepts of audio, electronics, and math, and thus can't possibly teach us about them. If I didn't already know the material, I would have failed the course.
