I had Dr. Pendleton 30 years ago. It seems like yesterday. I see he's still at NSU. He is an intense instructor and will challenge you to "think outside the box." I and a study partner survived his class and earned an "A." The class started off with about 30 students and towards the end of the semester there were 10. Study and hang in there!

Instead of repeating the aformentioned comments which are certainly correct here is a little help to pass. -Outside assignments are easy. Follow the syl to the tee as to what he wants. -Dont be late to class. -When you read assigned chapters dont worry about finishing as much as following along. If it says see page 823 then go read it. Good Luck

I took Dr. P my first semester at NSU. At first I was completely baffled - I mean, we had to write a critical essay on the first day of class! But once I went to the library and copied all of the supplemental readings he had on the syllabus, things made sense to me. I studied an hour a day for this class and earned an A. I think he's excellent!

This is not a class you should skip! He knows everything and I mean EVERYTHING in the book, so read when he says read...He's not a mean professor but he is serious about learning..I would not wait until Senior year to take this class because it is VERY stressful! Office hours, Office hours! Use them!

Took this class as a filler my senior year and he screwed me over. My perfect 4.0 was ruined by him. I tried so hard, asked for guidence and help. He sprang assignments out of nowhere, gave no feedback at all, and until the end of the semester I didnt even know my grade, which was a C (one of the highest grades in class) HE IS HORRIBLE!!!

No guidance, no feedback, and he never gives your grades. He us arrogant, pompous and full of himself. He is RIDICULOUS! Avoid this professor at all costs! He is the worse teacher in all four years of college and k-12 I've ever had!!!!!! I learned nothing, read a lot of bologna, and got so stressed!!! DR. P, I loath you with every ounce of my being!

Pendleton is very educated but dosent realize what generation he is in. Most of the time he is trying to down play his students. His notes are very hard to read and if you ask what he wrote be prepared to get scowled to death. We just took our midterm and the highest grade was a C. Please take Dr. Pendleton at your own risk.

He teaches STRAIGHT FROM THE BOOK!!! He's an intense teacher because he makes you think. SERIOUSLY. If you read before every class, PARTICIPATE, and follow everything he says. You'll survive. My class went from 50 to 12 ppl by the end of the semester. No joke. This is college right? Then hang with the big dogs.

Dr. Pendleton tries hard to make students get as much out of school as he obviously did. His class is not hard as long as you pay attention in class, and read the book and keep good notes. He's all over the place, so dont get discouraged, just stay with him, REMEMBER and pay close attn to ALL assignments.. and you will get the best education possib

Dr Pendleton was one of the best instructors that I had. He makes you learn and if you do bad it truely is because you are not reading and doing the assignments. I had him as a teacher 15 years ago and I would love to take another class. Thank you Dr. Pendleton for without your teaching style, I would not have become a teacher myself.

I love this man! If you want to succeed in his class, you must attend class--on time, read, and do your assignments ahead of time! Go to his office hours at least three times a week! That really helps. And write your papers early and he'll go over them with you. He's tough but it's worth it!

Very hard class. This professor is no joke. He doesn't take well to students coming to class unprepared. Please don't fall asleep. And always read in advance and do all assigned exercises in the book. Which there about 100 in the book.

He wants students to be able to compete in the outside world. If you read your book ahead of time and retain information well you will do well. The tests are not that hard. The hard part is surviving the class. His reasons are commendable, but the way he goes about it is a bit harsh.

He is only difficult because students don't like to read and do their own research. I admire what he does. He does do it in a harsh way, but he wants his students to be able to compete in the business world. He gives all the answers for tests and points out where answers can be found, but we are just lazy and don't want to apply our knowledge and look to outside sources. He's a real professor.
