Dr. Longo is an AMAZING person and super clear with his instructions in person, but he leaves basically all the hard work up to you. You have an entire week to complete a 6-10 page long lab report, and his critiques via email and not helpful at all. Although, in class, he is extremely helpful, plays music, and makes SURE you understand the info.

Does not give students any opportunity to raise grade and is a very harsh grader. He runs through labs really fast in the beginning where all students have a blank stare by the end of his explanation. You'll regret taking him.

Dr. Longo is awful. Don't let the whole "he plays music during lab" get to your head. He's a very tough grader and notorious for that. This class dropped my GPA so much. His quizzes are only one or two questions and his exams are impossible because he has it where you can't go back to questions you've completed/ must answer them before moving on.

Harshest grader I've ever had. I had a different lab prof last semester and they were way more understanding. Dr. Longo barely gives partial credit so if you get something wrong on your lab or quiz you get a horrible grade. He's a nice guy, teaches well, and plays music, but he'll drop your GPA.

As a biology major, I take enough stressful & hard courses as it is, so I hope that my lab prof.'s will be lenient & grade easily to give me a break. I had other lab teachers that did but he did NOT whatsoever. Graded so so so hard for no reason. I put so much time & effort into my lab reports & never got above a 90. Dropped my GPA. Hate him

Dr. Longo is a bit intimidating at first, but he is actually a very nice and laid back person. He is knowledgeable and helpful with questions, and is very understanding. The only thing is that he can be a hard grader, especially when it comes to lab reports. He is overall a good person and a good choice as your chem lab instructor.

Great guy!!! I took him for 3 semesters. He plays music, he is quick at explaining the labs, and is helpful. He is a TOUGH grader though. Until you know how his grading style is, your lab report grades might not be too good.

Mr. Longo is a fantastic lab instructor. He gives great explanations, and sometimes his mini lecture is more clear and concise than actual Chem lecture. I love that he plays music during lab, and is happy to answer any questions. I appreciate that the quizzes and exams were straightforward based on what we learned in lab.

Dr. Longo is a great lab instructor, he plays music and is very clear when he describes the lab. You must put time and effort into your lab reports, he is a tough grader. Nothing worth getting is easy though. You will learn a lot from this great guy.

AVOID him. The fact that he plays music during lab and is funny sometimes does not help your GPA. He is a VERY harsh grader. Especially on lab reports. He gives no final review and it is not easy. He also gets very rude when you ask for help. Oh, also sometimes surprise lab quizzes.

I took him for lab and he tends to explain too fast. You don't work with partners and he isn't very approachable. Build a relationship with him so he knows you. He tends to play favorites so be a suck up. He plays music during lab which is nice. Quizzes are pretty hard. If you do bad on them, HIGHLY recommend talkng to him after class bc he helps!

Took him for lab. If you go to him and review your lab reports before you hand them in, you'll be fine. He explains things well but at the same time he's not very welcoming to questions. He seems to act a little pissed off when you approach him.
