I took this as a once a week night class, so it was lecture heavy but he has pre-made notes for you and he's a funny guy. Weekly connect assignments, weekly chapter quizzes, 2 individual projects, 1 group project, and 3 exams. Use the practice questions he posts for each chapter to study for the tests. Great professor!

Dr. Lowe is very organized and is punctual, which is rare nowadays. The tests make up about 75% of your grade, but if you spend the time studying, it will pay off. Hes also respectful and doesnt waste time.

He's a super nice guy who makes lecture entertaining. I have him session B for 2.75 hours and it never feels like it's over an hour. He has premade lecture notes for you to print & add to as he lectures. Quizzes are extremely accurate to the problems he has you do as HW and practice problems. You don't NEED the book, but I'm sure it would help.

Comment:

Dr. Lowe is hilarious. He makes auditing enjoyable. I love his pre-written lecture notes and practice problems help a lot for the exams. Quizzes are based on the optional homework. You have to work at the class to get a good grade, but it is completely achievable. 3 exams in total. I would highly recommend.

HILARIOUS! One of my favorite professors at ASU. He's so genuine and nice, you can't go wrong. Assignments are straight forward and easy, but great for learning. DO THE PRACTICE PROBLEMS ON BB. Exact questions will be on test. Book is not completely necessary and he gives awesome notes. Tests are somewhat difficult but for sure fair. He's awesome.

Really nice guy! One of the best professors I've had in the accounting lineup. Material is bland but nothis fault, he tries to make it interesting. Quizzes and tests are fair, study the lecture notes and definitely the practice problems if he makes them available on BB. Book really not needed.

This was a fantastic course. Dr. Lowe was funny and a very good lecturer. He is thoughtful in his preparation and lays out the material quite clearly. The lecture notes are the majority of the exam, but many exam questions are based on the CONNECT, suggested homework, and exercise questions he assigns for practice.

Quizzes, lowest two dropped. A couple mini projects, and couple exercises (hw), three exams-mc and free response. If you study and go to class you'll be okay. Don't focus so much on the book, but more on the in-class notes. He provides you with these notes via Blackboard. I got 86% on each of my exams and ended up with an A in the class.

He has a lot to say, which makes him lose his train of thought easily, but he's still pretty good. Three tests and several quizzes, assignments, and short projects. Go to class and you should pass. Do the questions at the end of the chapters, as some of them will show up word-for-word on the quizzes and tests.

Lowe is a great teacher and is the nicest guy you will meet. You can't ask for a better capstone teacher. Makes material interesting and clear. 3 tests (no cumulative) and small assignments throughout the semester. Take Lowe and come to class and you will get a fine grade.

Dr. Lowe is the best! He is so interesting, tells hilarious jokes, is very helpful with Accounting, and is an extremely good professor. He makes the class informative, but also very easy going and stress-free! I hope to have him again in the future! I learned A LOT!

After acc 230 I was seriously doubting my accounting major. However, this class helped so much. He is a great instructor, to the point. I like the funny clips at the beg of class to get your attention. Don't read the book, he gives you all the info you need. DO THE HOMEWORK!! Exact quest on exam, helpful to know what the answer should be!
