Comment:

I love detective fiction and I decided to take the course online with Dr. Kim. She seems really nice but we had A TON of homework. We read a book a week (almost normal for English majors) but we had two discussion boards a week and the quiz essays were brutal. I could never seem to write the paper she was looking for. Overall OK but a lot of work.

Dr. Kim is an amazing professor. I took her in Fall, and again this semester. I love the way she lectures, she is really good at easing the class into "difficult" subjects or works, such as the Wasteland by TS Elliot. I'm taking her again next Fall!

Comment:

Dr. Kim is a very inspirational professor which makes her class actually pass fast. She expects her students to be active in class, which also makes it more fun! Make sure to read all of the assigned works, underline every single passage that she goes over, take lots of notes, and come to class everyday. If you miss classes, it will be hard to pass

Comment:

Dr. Kim may at first come off as a very strict and demanding professor, but I believe that she is genuinely caring and understanding. The key to doing well on her tests is to read all the assigned works, listen well in class, and copy anything she writes on the board. If you do that, you will likely survive her class--hopefully.

An incredibly intelligent and informed professor. Dr. Kim has a passion for teaching and it shows in her lectures and assignments. She may not be the easiest class, but you will LEARNâ€"Which is the point. Stay on top of reading and you will golden.

Her class is definitely interesting and she has a great personality. A lot of reading outside of class. I completely disagree with her style of revising essays though. She is a very harsh grader and expects students to analyze deeper than the analysis she presents in class.

Terrific prof!Challenging in the best of ways. Really wants the student to dig into the texts and find something more than surface readings. 2nd class with her and would continue to take as many as possible. She's very strict, but that's why the classes run so smoothly. She's more fun than many give her credit for, if they don't pay attention.

She is a great teacher. She expects a lot, in her papers and tests, and attendance is mandatory She also hates when people leave during class or come in late. She is strict, because she knows what she wants/expects, but I still take classes w/her b/c she is a really good teacher. She is enthusiastic and makes sure everybody understands.

A Gem of a professor. She loves Milton and teaching. Really wants students to succeed but has college level expectations. You write a few papers and she is looking for strong analysis so be ready. Very approachable and willing to help. Schedules meeting during class time so if your afraid of interacting with a prof. avoid this one.

Dr. Kim was so passionate about teaching that she would make the class excited about the different pieces of writing that we would read. She was so energetic this course and the students absorbed her energy. She also would come in on her days off to meet with students. She was so interesting to listen to and she was always really encouraging.
